Entertaining and Informative Review Book Series
I just completed reading the third of the series of Comprehensive reviews. Arieh Ben-Naim is bold in his writing to undertake a simpler and clearer explanation of popular Science books. His easy to read yet very informative Comprehensive Reviews clean up what he sees as the mess which had been propagated and proliferated in popular science books. These review books were different genre than his other books, and I found them rich in debate and thought. In parts I and II, he points out the confusion between entropy, Information, and Information Theory. He clearly and successfully delineates the three concepts. In parts III and IV, he criticizes the common and erroneous association of entropy with time and with the universe. In parts V and VI, which was my favorite, he discusses two specific books written by scientists on topics which go beyond the realm of science, thereby misleading their readers about the reality of God, and of heaven.
