Let me paint a picture: You’re cruising down the highway, top off, wind in your beard, thinking, "Yeah, I look cool." But your hood? It’s up there doing the Cha-Cha Slide in front of God and everyone. Nothing says “unstable decisions” like your hood bouncing at 80 mph like it’s trying to make a break for it. So I said enough is enough. I bought the FlyOX Aluminum Alloy Hood Latches—and let me tell you, these things lock down tighter than my ex’s Instagram after the breakup. Built like they were forged in a forge inside another forge, these latches are rock solid. No flutter. No flex. Just cold, machined confidence. Installation took less time than explaining to my mother why I need seven recovery straps and a winch for a drive to Dairy Queen. Plus, they look mean. Like, “I’m not just here to off-road—I’m here to assert dominance over my hood.” Bottom line: If your factory hood latches are flapping like a drunk pelican in a windstorm, it’s time to upgrade. These FlyOX latches don’t just secure your hood—they secure your manhood. No flutter. No fear. Just Jeep.

Put these on my Jeep Wrangler after my stock ones broke. They were simple to put on, and very sturdy. Fit perfectly in the holes that were already there. Adjusted easily so that I had no more hood wobble. Highly recommend these!

I picked up these FlyOX latches to replace my factory latches for the same reasons as most people. I originally bought a set of locking latches from another seller and immediately returned them when I saw the size. These are twice the size and much beefier and solid. There weren’t any instructions, however, it’s straight forward. I did have to be a bit creative with the lower rubber seals as the hole was a bit off, but I used a paper punch to remedy that. Speaking of the lower rubber seals, there are two sets, one labeled JK and the other JL. Neither lined up on my 2015 JK Rubi. I also opted to use the factory nuts for two reasons. One, they have a washer built in and two, they are very magnetic which helped a lot when installing the lower latches. To remove and install the lower latches, I lowered my front grill, which is easy to do and saves a lot of trouble getting at the nut with a box end wrench, especially when removing the old ones. Then, installation was a little tricky to get the nut aligned if you don’t have small hands, however, I used a mechanics telescopic magnet to get the nut started (something I couldn’t do with the nuts that came with the kit). Once I got it started, I slipped my wrench on it and tightened it up, making sure the seal and latch were properly aligned. The final step was reattaching the rest of the lower latch. Next, the upper latch was easy peasy. I propped the hood up just enough to get at the backside nuts on and tightened them just enough so I could easily adjust them for alignment and a snug fit. Oh, don’t forget to slip the little rubber bit behind the upper latch before tightening everything up. Once I got everything aligned, I tightened everything up and checked the fit. Perfect! And, they look Marvelous! I hope this review and accompanying video helps.

Short story- Strong, sexy, & chicks dig it. Long story- I was driving down the highway in extreme wind and thought the hood was going to fly off. That’s why I bought these. They’re easy to install. No drilling. There’s a YouTube video explaining the install that’s worth watching. Beefier than I expected. Solid af. And now the hood doesn’t move. At all. Even in high wind. Also they’re super sexy.

Bought this set off latches along with 2 other brands. I hand seen reviews of some that were thin metal and just plain cheap. I set all three side by side. These were hands down the thickest and beefiest latches. It was a no brainer. I sent the others back. Confirmed everything was stainless with a magnet. I did use the OEM nuts since they had the flared washer nut.. you’ll need to pull the rubber hood spacer off the top of the bottom portion of your OEM latches carefully. I ripped one of mine. These fit perfectly on these new ones (if you don’t rip them like I did. Super happy with this buy and will be looking for other stuff this company sells.
