I searched everywhere for something that I could attach a roll of garbage bags to the side of my stainless steel trash can or literally anywhere nearby, whether to a cabinet, over a door, I didn’t care as long as I could hook the roll to it. Nothing like that exists. There are some similar items but they are all intended for the paper towel rolls that have a cardboard core. The one wall-mounted plastic holder that they claimed was for garbage bags has almost 100% one-star reviews as being junk. Then I saw these. While not specifically intended for trash bags, they have one feature that makes them work perfectly. Trash bags, you see, don’t have a cardboard core in the middle so every other holder has some sort of angled or enlarged end piece that won’t let it be stuffed into the center of the roll. This one has straight pieces of stainless steel that can easily be stuffed into the trash bag roll and it allows for a typical size of roll like you would normally find at the supermarket. STRONG LIKE A I read about other similar magnetic hooks and they always get negative comments about how weak the magnet is because the manufacturer usually coats the magnet with rubber. These use magnetic tape that won’t scratch surfaces but still has the full magnetic strength. When you read about weak magnets you have to keep in mind that not every metal surface attracts magnets in the same way, in fact some stainless steel won’t hold a magnet at all. The amount of iron content has a lot to do with it, you’ll find that things like stoves, laundry appliances, most refrigerators and yes, many trash cans, have a magnet friendly surface. YES OR NO The bottom line is these worked for me and I also found a use to get another pair to hold a spare roll of paper towels to the side of my dryer in the laundry room so they are there for a quick wipe-down after doing a load. I like this product.

This paper towel holder is attractive and the magnet strong. I have metal cabinets and like that I am able to move the towels with me when working. Reasonably priced and a good value.

It looks nice and holds on refrigerator decently but magnetic can be a little stronger. If help turning of the paper towels it works fine but will pop off if not careful. With that said I’ll be keeping it.

I really like this. It has a strong magnet that holds to my stainless steel refrigerator side perfectly. The price is right. It keeps the paper towels off the counter but puts them in a very comfortable spot. It saves counter space which I need. this is such a good functional way to keep your paper towels handy. I recommend.

Seems plenty sturdy to me and magnet seems strong. I don't use a lot of paper towels so I'm not aggressively ripping sheets off many times a day. I just need paper towels handy for those times when nothing else will do. My previous holder was a sit-on-counter type and you couldn't rip off a towel one-handed so I guess I got used to that. I couldn't decide whether to hang it horizontally or vertically so I went with diagonal. I had to put it on the front of the fridge, not my desired location, but if I had put it on the side of the fridge, it would have interfered with the small expanse of counter I have there which I use frequently. Paper towel holder on front of fridge is definitely not my style, but clearing stuff off counters so I have room to cook took priority. And my fridge is at the far end of my little galley style kitchen so it's not too in-your-face.

This is a great space saver for my small counter top area! The magnet is strong and holds securely.
