Anxiously Awaiting Book 3
Lizzy Ford has a way of forcing you to become emotionally involved with her characters, and then she throws a curve ball, smacking you in the face.Josie continues to be one of my favorite female characters because it's really easy to relate to her and how she responds to certain situations. In this story, she really steps up and begins to make her own decisions since she is not in communication with Carter currently.Speaking of Carter... WHERE IS HE? What in the world is going on?I feel like this was definitely a "filler" story to help build up characters and make a few more connections, but it didn't really answer any of the questions that West left me with. I'm totally okay with this though because Lizzy pulled it off and I love it!If there is one person I could sit down with and talk to about her writing technique and process, it would be Lizzy. I'd love to see how she organizes her thoughts and outlines for her book series. For now, I'll continue to try to channel her daily as I attempt to motivate myself to write and wait impatiently for the next release of this series!Find my review on lynnook.weebly.com

Fantastic sequel to West- prepare to fall in love all over again!
Josie is struggling to adjust the best she can. She has come to the understanding that she is stuck where she is and now has to seek a life, dare I say normal... but how can it be normal when those around you are calling you Goddess and believe you fell from the sky... which she kind-a-did. Watching her struggle and dare to find a place in this harsh world is captivating. She definitely has grown from her time in the Old West. My heart was broken with her, and it was something to try and watch her heal from her lose of the first book. This book is so dang good, I am making sure not give anything away, because this book is so good!

Amazing Series! A Must Read
I read the first book in the series last week (West) and once I finished it I immediately preordered this book and counted down the days until it was released. I am absolutely in love with this series, Josie is a character that you can't help but connect with and I enjoy Lizzy Ford's style of writing. Josie is put into pretty much impossible situations, and with the loss of the emphatic memory chip she is forced to muddle through solely on instinct. Sometimes she was still a little naive, but it almost makes her a more charming character. I still ache over the loss of Taylor, but I feel as though this book realistically went through the grieving of their relationship - though it was definitely condensed. I think I felt more strongly about him than she did. I liked that this book spanned a much longer time than West (between three and four months). Over all this book was good, though it made me really want to punch Carter. I can't wait for the next book and really hope it comes out before 2016 - I will be pretty heartbroken if I have to wait that long to find out what happens!

... say that author Lizzy Ford has by far the greatest imagination I have ever encountered
I have to say that author Lizzy Ford has by far the greatest imagination I have ever encountered.Josie is thrown now years back into the age of the Mongolians, I don't know how this poor girl is going to end up and if she will ever get her HEA. But I am glad that Batu has been thrown into the picture cause he to can travel in time. I'm still trying to piece together where Carter fits into Josie's life, but I guess that will remain a mystery until the next books come out, Ohhh in a year???? I'm only wondering what North and South has in store for her.Awesome time travel adventure Lizzy Ford never ceases to amaze me looking forward to the next book!

Better and better. Riveting tale.
Once again, a unique adventure in a different culture and time, with history, mystery, romance, warriors in raging battles, and a healthy dose of speculative fiction about time travel. I loved the contradictions and emotions depicted by characters with depth. Highly recommended.

Had to keep reading
Jose's story continues as Moonbeam with the Mongols. Her story is of incredible strength and keeps you wanting to know what's next.

Lizzy, you slay me!!
What the what?!? Ok, I absolutely love Lizzy's humor and her books!! But seriously ending in a spot where my heart is ripped out and another plot twist is kind of introduced... Lizzy's, you slay me!! Do I really have to wait a year?!?Oh the the cliffhanger! 😜In all seriousness, this book was well put together and rich in plot. I had a very hard time putting it down. Thank you for another great read!!

Loved it
Josie is very relatable to me, I would so freak out and not be able to cope with the circumstances she finds herself in. Carter is a total bad guy who you hope doesn't win the game he is playing. Can't wait to read book 3 !!!

Lizzy Ford, author extraordinaire, is an evil mastermind ...
Lizzy Ford, author extraordinaire, is an evil mastermind. She knows exactly how to weave a suspenseful tale and how much to give the reader before taking it away, enough to break your heart and enough to make you demand to know how Josie's story ends.Written in the first person, from the perspective of Josie, we feel everything that this lovable and sensitive (but not too sensitive) characters as she's torn from the world she knows and finds herself lost in time and in Mongolia, on this occasion.Still reeling from the upheavals that beset her in the first book, she has to find herself a place in this new world. What makes this so engaging to read/listen to is that she's developing as a character and Ford takes a deep dive into her psyche to really explore how being so lost and confused would feel when you're a naturally warm and empathetic person. This is why the author is an evil mastermind.I'm impressed by the scope of the author's writing, she's successfully gone from the wild West to the Mongolian empire without breaking her stride - writing outside your own culture can be a minefield but in this case, I think it's perfectly done. The book follows the journey of Josie and Batu to the steppes, their interactions are fascinating as they bond despite being such different people. There's nothing rushed in the writing style and I was hooked. Not only does every fan of time travel, fantasy and romance need to read this book, they need to do so in the audio format. I think that Lillian Yves' has outdone herself with this particular title - she turns Josie into a real and breathing person for you, which makes this story all the more breathtaking. As a first person perspective, I think it's essential to pick the right voice artist for the role and this was a match made in heaven.
