Healing Palm Cross with Crown of Thorns from Holy Land:I can't begin to tell you how many of the "original" sized and packaged Crown of Thorns Palm Crosses I have purchased over the past couple of years! They were so beautiful, much smaller than these newer ones; packaged nicely and nearly half of what they are now charging!!! I had given them to so many people; especially to those on their way to the Lord in Hospice Homes who have derived so much comfort from them; especially the size as they fit perfectly and were so easy for those with weak hands to hold. At any rate, my friend who was visiting had a sister in the hospital who was dying with lung cancer. I had run out of the crosses I had saved and ended up giving her mine, intending to order another one for myself even at the higher price. I was so shocked at the difference in the size and thickness that I was ready to cry! It wasn't at all what I expected. That isn't to say it's not a lovely cross; it is, but not the one I wanted and had searched so hard to find. I had always, as did others, give such positive feedback, that it is now clear to me that the popularity prompted these changes in order to jack up the price! For something I valued as "Holy", I find this kind of greed repugnant! Gratefully, my beloved husband offered me the one I bought for him and since his hands are larger, this one will do even though he preferred the smaller one. The crosses may come from the "HOLY LAND", but don't think for a minute that it indicates any kind of spiritual or "holy" thinking or behavior on the part of the sellers! The cross is made of olive wood that fits perfectly in your hand. It has a carving of a crown of thorns and inside the crown is a little heart. I love holding this cross when I feel overwhelmed. It is good to put a little olive oil on once a week to keep it soft and shiny. Prayer is very powerful and holding this cross & praying to Jesus has helped me so much to get through tough times ... even helps feel joy and comfort... a feeling of contentment just comes over me.... it's Jesus' love that I am feeling xx

I purchased this for a dear friend for her birthday and could not have been more pleased! These are packaged very well for gift giving, with the viewing window in the box and the velvet bag and prayer card finish it off nicely. The cross itself is very special knowing the origin, that it's olive wood and the markings are wonderful. It is the perfect size to hold in your hand. It will fit nicely in a pocket or purse also so you always have it with you for comfort. The price is good and I will not hesitate to order more in the future as an unusual and lovely gift of faith. What better way to show someone you care than to give them a cross to remind them of the love of our Lord that is with them always!

My grandmother carries this with her everywhere. She said it was perfect for clasping while receiving her chemo and radiation treatments. She purchased some for the radiation center, as gifts for others going through the horrors of cancer!

I purchased one cross as a gift and one for myself. When they first arrived I thought the crosses looked small, however, when I took it out of the box and held it in my hand it fit beautifully in my palm. Very comfortable and comforting.
