Since you know what it’s for, don’t hesitate to order it. Good stuff!!
As a Navy man and a commercial fisherman for decades, I always have this type cordage on hand for many uses around the house. Better than any thread and stronger than standby dental floss.I need to order a sewing palm though. The needle doesn’t penetrate some materials easily...

Great for whipping ends of rope.
Thin, waxed cord works perfectly for whipping ends of rope. I used it to whip ends of half-inch 3-strand natural fiber rope when long-splicing ropes together. Since I'm using the rope to make furniture, I wanted the splices to look as legit and as smooth as possible. This cord is a pretty close color match to natural jute/hemp, and blends in nicely. I like that it is thin, so it doesn't add much extra bulk to the spliced area.

Very good for mending or making heavy fabric items.
This is the real thing, and will be a welcome sight when you have sails, tents, or other heavy fabric items to mend. Very good to have in your kit on your boat, in your camping gear or camper, in your emergency backpack, or around your home or farm. The inclusion of the appropriate needle is a good feature. Having a Sailmaker's Palm and an awl included in your kit with this, will greatly ease its use with heavy material.

The best use I have gotten with it was whipping rope ...
I've used this for so many projects, and still have plenty more. The color is exactly as pictured and the string is durable. The best use I have gotten with it was whipping rope on a dual-sided snaphook leash that I made so that I could hook it around my waist to walk my dog and keep my hands free. This kind of leash would have otherwise cost me $70+ at the retailers/boutiques that sell them, but this string and some snap hooks enabled me to make one at less than 1/8 of the cost.

Good heavy duty outdoor thread.
I used it to sew the cover on our pergola that was coming unsewn. The included needle was very helpful.

Great thread, throw away the needle
The needle is all but worthless but its nice waxed thread. Ive used the stuff for everything from restitching a section of sail, to cobbling a ditty bag together, and most recently finished a fairly small canvas hot tent for some winter camping. Really good stuff.
