This is a fairly inexpensive unit. I didn’t say cheap. It looks good, works well, and is easy to install. If I were raising and lowering my flag regularly, I might consider something else but for now and hopefully for the foreseeable future it’s a good buy. I purchased this unit, top solar light and flag at the same time. People who have seen it are impressed.

The media could not be loaded. I have a 25 foot tall telescoping flagpole in my front yard that kept collapsing in high winds and I also could not fly at half staff when wanting to so I purchased this hardware kit. After extending the pole back to full height and installing a screw in each section, I mounted the this hardware kit. This was very easy to do and took only 15-20 minutes including setting the pole back in the ground and mounting and raising the flags. I had purchased the smaller flagpole truck with pulley and it was still about a quarter inch too big on the inside diameter (the reason for 4 stars) but, after the ball and escutcheon screws were tightened it seems to hold well. It’s now a lot easier to remove the flags for replacement and to fly at half staff. I’m happy with this hardware kit and do recommend it. Be sure and measure the outside diameter of the top of your pole before ordering to get the right size flagpole truck and pulley.

The flagpole repair kit turned out to be very handy however; the only part I could use is the flagpole topper. the halyard, while being long enough is too thin to handle our high winds. the cleat may come in handy in the future and while the metal snap clips are pretty, they too are too small to accommodate my flag. I've found in high wind areas like mine the bigger the flag the longer it lasts. I'm currently flying a 5'x8' American flag using 3 metal snap clips that are substantially larger. HOO-RAH!

Items came with all mentioned parts. They fit most poles I just had to add some tape to help with the thickness but overall great buy if you have a flag pole that needs a conversion to be able to hoist and lower instead of pulling the flag pole to replace your flag.

Easy to install

Good item and good price, but the clips are too small for a 3x5 flag. These are for 2x3 and smaller.
