Which is exactly what you want. Can't fault it. Lightweight but feels solid. Good.bit of gear. Have only used twice but...for.most suspect that this will be similar usage amount.

Easy to use. I needed the adaptor to remove my old BB. I had to put quite a bit of force on the spanner to remover the old BB. There where no marks at all left on the adaptor, so I think it is plenty strong enough. It's a large diameter, just make sure you keep the spanner and adapter well seated on the splines of the of BB.Only minor negative is that the edges of the spanner could do with a slightly bigger radius.

I bought this to install my Shimano Deore XT BB-MT800.Worked great on the first installation but a month later when servicing the BB the teeth in the plastic insert (which is what makes this tool work with the MT800) gave way and shredded.This was not down to over-tightening. The plastic is too soft rendering the tool useful for my current setup.Such a shame.

Great tool to tighten and loosen your bottom bracket. It worked on my 105 5800 bottom bracket. My only complaint about the product is that it the ergonomics need to be greatly improved as it is very uncomfortable to use and also it feels like it could bend under more regular use. But overall its pretty good if you are using not using it very regularly.

I needed to remove the Shimano DA external 24mm BB from my Specialized Tarmac SL7 S-Works and was basically confused by the choice of tools and sizes available both in bike shops and Amazon - so I crossed my fingers and went for this.Amazon's awesome Prime next day delivery was true to its word and last night I easily removed the Shimano BB using the spanner with the plastic insert. The plastic insert / adaptor was tough enough to grip the external BB and did no damage. Installing my shiny new King BB was also a piece of cake, I just removed the plastic insert and the spanner slotted right on. This spanner therefore appears to have 3 different size options which give you plenty of scope when switching between bikes - well recommended.

Good value for the DIY mechanic who might need to use this once in two years. With that value comes some low cost engineering and material.

Exactly as described. Tougher than it looks. Never thought I’d get that blinking stubborn BB off the bike but this tool and elbow grease did the job
