I have bought dozens of these over the years. They are good at adjusting the pointing of a small camera and locking in to place.

The Universal 1/4" Swivel Mini Ball Head Screw Tripod Mount with Hot Shoe is an excellent accessory for mounting cameras, flashes, or other gear with a 1/4″ thread. Its compact aluminum‑alloy construction feels solid, and I found the 360‑degree swivel plus tilt functionality very useful for fine‑tuning angles. The built‑in hot‑shoe adapter adds extra versatility when mounting to camera shoes or other accessories. In use, the mount locked down firmly without noticeable creep, even during longer exposures, and worked reliably for my 2‑3 lb setups. If I were to nitpick, the locking knob could use just a bit more grip in cold conditions, but that’s a minor issue in an otherwise outstanding value. Overall, if you’re looking for a small, flexible ball‑head mounton a budget, this one is extremely capable.

These seem like pretty nice light-duty ball heads. They are mostly metal, not overly complicated and adaptable to a wide range of uses. They would probably work well to hold a phone or point-and-shoot camera or an off-camera flash. I don't think they'd hold an SLR camera without slipping, but maybe. I'm planning to adapt them to hold Blink outdoor cameras. I didn't know that two came in a package, so I was pleasantly surprised. So far I'm really happy with these!
