Louis Garneau, Cycling Leg Warmers 2

I bought these for my first century ride since it was going to be cold in the morning and warmer in the afternoon. I ended up keeping them on the entire day because of the wind. They were very comfortable and did not slide down.

These leg warmers are great as long as it's not too cold out. I think you'd need something a little warmer when you're riding in temperatures lower than 45.

I have used these only a couple of times since I purchased them, so take my words with a grain of salt.Trip one: Was ferried to the top of Louis and Clark State Park in Montana, 45 degrees at the bottom of the mountain, didn't account for the 1000 ft altitude gain, got to the top, realized that it was extremely cold and I was probably in trouble. I remembered I had these in my pack, put them on and my legs were toasty the entire way down. Keeping them warm at 30 degrees going 25mph the entire time.Trip two: Was doing a 50 mile loop ride, got stuck between a barb wire fence and my trail, so I had to hike a couple of miles on train track, putting me behind schedule and leaving me in the dark. When the sun goes down in Montana it gets cold. Luckily I had these puppies in my hydration pack. Was warm the entire way home.They are very light, roll up to the size of a single sock and will you will always be happy you have them when you need them.If you do a lot of riding in areas where temperatures can change fast, but a pair of these and arm warmers. You can thank me later.

warm..and easy to put on and off

I have always toughed it out or wore my rain pants. These are awesome! Toasty warm, yet I don't really get all that hot when it starts warming up later in the day. I'm tall and these were plenty long. I decided on these because I recently purchased a Louis Garneau jacket and it is the best jacket I have ever had. A few people complained about them not staying up. I had the same issue the first time I wore them. Then I saw what I was doing wrong. You can't pull them on like a pair of socks. For me, this caused the part above the knee to stretch a lot more length wise than below the knee. Of course they are going to want to recoil. On my second attempt, I stretched the bottoms half out more so that the top portion was more relaxed. Zero movement.

This product is really cool and provides as a layer for defend the cold.
