Full-Featured Reacher Tool
As a person of a certain age living in a dreadfully cluttered studio apartment (where I have lived for some forty years as I write this), I have found that a reacher tool is a VERY useful device. After an aluminum folding reacher tool I've used for years recently had some sort of unfortunate close encounter with my cleaning lady (I don't want to know!), I needed a replacement and found this model, which has the features I was looking for:* It folds up with a hinge -- some models just have you pull one rod from another to collapse the device, leaving the gripping activator cord exposed -- not a secure or desirable arrangement, in my opinion.* The gripping head can rotate 90 degrees relative to the trigger handle.* One of the gripping jaws has a magnetic pick-up hook, useful for retrieving small metal objects like nuts, bolts, and screws.* This reacher includes an LED flashlight you can turn on or off with a switch.* The gripper jaws have anti-slip surfaces that seem superior to the suction cups of my old unit.Though I'm not sure how durable this plastic reacher will prove compared to a metal model, the plastic seems to be of good quality, and the device is rated to pick up items weighing two pounds.I must report that I had a little problem installing the three button batteries for the flashlight. First, I couldn't tell which surface of the batteries was meant to be face up, necessitating some experimentation (answer: larger, flat side up, small side with green stripe around perimeter down).Second, the light then wouldn't stay on unless I pressed down on the battery compartment hatch, even though I had screwed that hatch closed as tightly as possible using the Philips head screwdriver provided. The answer to this problem involved bending the bottom battery contacts up a little bit to make tighter contact with the batteries.Am I happy that the manufacturer uses button batteries, supposedly rated at 120 hours (which I don't believe for a minute)? No, I wish the flash used a more common AAA battery instead. But at least the switch is of good quality, so that's something. At any rate, time will tell how durable this reacher proves to be. I'll update this review if it doesn't go the distance...

Great until it wasn't.
I loved this grabber...it worked great but it felt wobbly since I purchased it. Since it worked I thought that was ok. I've had it @2 months and it just broke. It is past my replacement window so I am extremely unhappy.

High Quality
This Grabber is slightly heavier than others I have purchased and obviously sturdy and well-constructed. I definitely would purchase another and am comfortable recommending it.

Does what it should
I like my purchase just wish the jaws would open a little further.

Magnetic hook is a problem
Magnetic hook is a problem. I’m disabled and I have an elderly disabled dog who has to use wee wee pads overnight. The problem is that although I can lift the soiled pads easily, the hook makes it hard to slip them into garbage bags. I often wind up poking a hole in the bags.

Works great!! Picks up very small objects easily.
I bought one for my husband to play ball with our dog. Works so good!! It even had a light and magnet to pick Very small objects in dark small areas. I had to buy myself one too. It had lasted for a long time. I even bought one for my nephew because he loved ours so much!!
