It is just the peel of fruit.
Very disappointed. Looked good in the bag when I received, then found they were only thin peel of fruit after putting them into boiling water. They were real peel and no any fruit were left.

Similar to cranberries. Fresh. Full of vitamins.
The fruit is good and tastes like cranberry, yet is a little more bitter and not quite as sweet. Great for cooking into stuffings and other dishes to compliment flavor profiles.
