We have always been a leather leash only.Owning a dog sitting business, and the dogs are walked in rain, and snow these don't slide out of your hand. I have 9 of these now.

It’s good quality and we used it for camping. Gave our dog a bit of freedom while being secure on the site. Easy to clean and doesn’t smell!I was planning to get a PVC one but our trainer recommended biothane as it lasts longer.

Really good lead for training is easy to hold and doesn’t get super slippery when wet. You have to be careful not to get it wrapped around feet and legs. Doesn’t hurt your hand when holding it and the dog pulls but don’t try grab it if they’re already running as it can cause burns very easily. Overall really like this if your dog isn’t ready for off lead or you just want something water proof easy to clean and that doesn’t get smelly.

The leash attachment is quite large and heavy. I clipped it to the front my my large dog's (75lbs) harness. However, given the large and heavy attachment, it hit my dogs front legs every time he took a step. I was quite shocked how heavy this was and know eventually overtime it might cause injury, especially if he is playing with another dog on leash. It would definitely not be suitable for medium or small dogs. For this reason I rate it 2/5. The leash itself is great, heavier than cloth leashes (to be expected though) and stiffer so its not great for long line play with other dogs.
