Would this work around a brick corner to protect a garden hose from being damaged?

My sense is that it would work, but only in the short term. It is made of soft foam materials to serve as a bumper or protector, and would not hold up well to the continual abrasion that a garden hose would cause to its surface. So no. Find something that would be more durable, specifically made to withstand abrasion.

Will this stick to cinder block steps? I’m trying to protect my car from hitting the edge of the steps leading into the house from the garage.

I believe it will, especially if it is not a chronically wet environment and there is not ongoing or intermittent traction on the edge protector, such as repeatedly stepping on it.
