This is just what I wanted. Looks nice on the desk, holds the pen while I wander off, has a shallow depth so I can't dip the nib too far. Easy-open cap. Simple elegance..

The lid isn't that snappy as i was expected, so i won't recommend holding it upside down, while the ink is in... The size is also much smaller than i was expected, it fits comfortably in my hand... and i don't have big hands... However, the glass seems pretty durable, and it can hold seemingly 30 ml ink.

I don't use my fountain pens all that often, but when I do I start out with a dip in this well. It charges my regular pens. I can write seemingly for ever with this at hand. It's the perfect depth for my nibs (regular nibs, nothing fancy) so I don't get ink anywhere other than where I want it. I use it every time I use my fountain pens. I use A.T.Cross pens, purchased online and this fits perfectly. Recommended.

I was looking for something that would work but not get in the way. This fills the bill and doesn't break the bank. Lid open easily. Hinge has held up well. Ink remains liquid so the seal is adequate but not so tight that you have to wrestle it open. Good value for the money. Imported from India where they do know their way around ink and inkwells.

Surprisingly expensive ("They seen me coming!") for the size and weight. Opening is good to fill with but the cap is a piece of (censored). It neither seals the unit, not is easily operated unless you have both hands free. Shaeffer snorkel fillers (ANY snorkel filler) pens should be very aware of the tendency for any schmutz to collect in the bottom and corners, a potential filler-blockage disaster. I'll give it a two star... at least it inn't leaking, then.

Seems a proper size for Speedball Caligraphy pen tips. Stable.

Looked just what I wanted. A functional inkwell. Arrived promptly from USA well packaged. Base is OK but hinge/clasp on inkwell not the greatest. Wanted a inkwell to use and think the hinge looks a bit weak. I may be wrong but only time will tell. However, if you purchase the item as a gift to look at it looks lovely.
