Excellent finish to a great story
Really enjoyed how the political posturing despite the seriousness of a demon invasion occurred. Then Sean and company had to "bitch slap" some political animals before showing them their place. I see that there is a sequel series so l will be checking it out. All considered l really enjoyed all 18 books in this series. Way to go Mr. Stryvant.... l have already read and enjoyed your "Portals of infinity" series, l guess you are really into feline lycans. Lol.

Liked the series but wtf?
18 novels is a lot plus the Wives Tales but there are some glaring issues. Sean has all these WIVES that he's married as the books progressed but they are still rather cut out and cardboard in these stories. I found myself who is She again? I've read the books and I had to refresh. Now the reason you lost a star and almost two is the Dialogue with Deirdre. The only Black characters in the entire series are Deirdre, Cali and the twins and there's no background characters like the bartender, cab driver, presidential aide that are Black. So you have Sean sexing Deirdre the DARK Elf he rescued first and was the senior elf and your dialogue yes my little SLAVE girl? SLAVE? And before you over reaction or context I've pointed out that glaring lack in your background and character development. She was already a Mistress? Why? Not a concubine and so is Shelia. Slave? One of the few Black characters in your books who manages Sean's finances. Now Sean is young and so are his Wives and a few have been directly oppressed or the former oppressor so I know you have an idea of what I'm getting at! Slave? Damn dude!

a bridge between series'
as is stated in the afterword this book is a bridge between the legacy series and the next one that is to take place 16-20 years in the future. i personally really liked the story. as i have no idea what is in store for the new series that is to take place in the same univeries i am very excited for it. if the issue for our new MC will be taking care of the current problems left in the book then i would suggest another bridge book and have Sean wrap it up way sooner than expected. then the kids could handle the humans and go to other planes like the dark elf/ goblin plane. just my two cents, but like i said i am excited. well done to everyone who had a had in bringing this series to us the readers.

Some inexplicable things
With the time jump, it's king of hard to believe that Sean has never been formally introduced to the Head of Homeland Security. Why the Demons, sorry djevels, brought along noncombat stuff, that was never mentioned before, why Sean is still apparently funding this war, why don't they have a more professional communications system, why is Roxy still screening Sean's calls? Couldn't they find someone like Betty to do that? Yes a lot of what they are doing is still secret, but a lot of the admin stuff that Sean's wives still seem to be doing should long ago have been transfered to trusted minions. All the wives, partners and dependents should be supplying the day to day workers it takes to run his Army. We saw that in previous books with Betty helping out. It's great to see Stewart playing a big role, nice to see Josh around (he needs a promotion), glad to see the family hasn't been forgotten. Yay kids!Probably too much to ask for, but a general map of the DEZ would be nice.

Very much a surprise
Urban fantasy magic harem adult situationsSean Valens and the gang are back! We are reminded again that the war against the djevels will take more than a century to complete after the last predatory alien monster dies because these evil critters lay eggs.I found myself grinning as I devoured page after page in the story. Four short story collections and now eighteen novels of adventure, magic, mages, lycans, humans, dwarves, fae, and more -- all united to purge Earth of these brutal, greedy invaders who happily turn towns and cities teeming with life into ghost towns, consuming even the animal life.Delighted with the story, pacing, characters, and plot. Can I has moah, plz?

Unexpected
So after the previous book, I wasn't actually expecting another in the valens legacy, which means I was very happy when this one popped up in the search list. The book is just as good as previous ones and expands further on the events after the end of the big battles previously while also setting up for potential future books as well.

Feels like coming home.
This was oddly nostalgic reading through this bridge book. I was a little hesitant knowing the next series will be focused on Mihalis. But now what he is I'm definitely interested. Hopefully he also inherit somes of Cali power. Empathy and flight would be awesome on top of being the first black lion. Looking forward to book . . . whatever number it is now.

Enjoyed This
Ok this is book 18. That a lot. But the stories are still fresh and exciting. Would love to see a family tree I’m the back of the books now that the kids are coming into it. Read The first Valens legacy before this one and quite excited for that branch to start.

Nooo! Finished the series
Wow! How Mr Stryvant managed to keep up such a fast paced storyline of such good quality for 18 books, well bleeding(there's a lot of that) marvellous. I'd go as far as to say a tour de force, well done indeed.
