The Q-Tips seemed to me over time to have weaker and weaker cardboard sticks to the point they were useless for cleaning due to bending under pressure. This Puritan brand has wood sticks which work great. One clear change is, this Puritan brand has a slightly oversize cotton ball on the end. While it is well attached and density is good, it is a little oversize for the ear canal. Even though everyone says dont use q-tips in your ear, lets get real, everyone uses them for ear cleaning. You might find these a little large. I sometines pull a little cotton off the end before using.
