Been doing research on this where air pump and a heater are always part of the steps. Found this product and gave it a try. I have it in my basement, which is below ground with a room temperature of 18c-19c. I did a batch and within 48 hours, had brine shrimp swimming towards the middle hole (attracted to the light). Didn't have to use a heater and air pump at all. Just this tray and the white circular attachment does wonders. No need to drain the saltwater either before feeding. Overall very clean this setup. I place mine on a shelf under a light, shrimp hatch in less than 24 hrs, and I'm able to harvest for 3-4 days. Easy to clean as well. Important to make sure hatchery is level.
