Norpro Stainless Steel Ravioli/Pastry Wheel

I got this item to easily and quickly cut pasta dough into sheets. It has two wheels, one which is fluted and one which is like a pizza cutter. This cutter makes slicing dough into sheets flawless and easy, and the fluted side is perfect for making special pasta, such as the bow tie pasta ends. Highly recommend this for you baking and pasta making needs! Does not feel cheap either.

Once I learned not to put too much pressure on it while cutting dough it worked fine. The floored wheel once and a while would kind of stick and make the dough slide but in all I like it.

I bought this cutter because it has two wheels and that made it seem more useful. However I was disappointed in the fluted wheel, the edge cut was barely different than using a flat wheel or a knife.

A good basic cutter for any kind of dough or pasta.My Son plans on using it w/his pasta maker& although it IS a bit smaller than I thought it would be,its well made& so should last a long time.Heavy duty stainless handle is smooth& comfortable to grip. Blades are smooth rolling w/no discernable wobble.

I've been using this to make homemade ravioli for a while now and it's been great. It works nicely, feels good in your hand and seems to be made of quality materials. It's just what I wanted and needed.

I've never really made ravioli before, but I've made regular pasta several times. I was excited to try this for the decorative blade. However, mine wasn't very sharp and it would "pull" on the pasta while I was trying to cut it. This made it difficult to cut in straight lines. I ended up predominantly using the straight edge that although it does work well is basically a pizza cutter, which I already had. In that respect I feel like I wasted money.There is no protective cover over the sharp blade so I would not recommend having this in a drawer that children can get into.The handle is a good length and feels sturdy. If properly taken care of I do feel as though the quality of the cutter will last a long time.
