Worked great for my additional Lorex PoE cameras
My Lorex system came with 8 wired cameras and 8 virtual forts for an additional wireless cameras. I plugged this into the network and attached 4 other POE cameras I had and the Lorex system recognized them and everything was up and running in a few minutes. Excellent product. Some of the Ethernet runs on this switch are 200 feet long and no problems at all

Works like a champ.
Never having used a POE switch, this turned out to be an excellent purchase. Very inexpensive and perfect for a small office or in my case, home security cameras. No more need to run 120v power for camera power supplies. One Ethernet cable and video data and power are taken care of. First impression out of the box was that the case is metal, not plastic! My cameras also have several very bright LED lights for night illumination. These are run over the POE power, and the switch handles them without a problem. I hope the company plans on continued production of this switch. I plan to purchase more as I expand my video security system.

Good for the price. Comes with ears.
I have a rack full of TP-Link TL-SG1016PE 150W switches and one went bad. The super low price of this one tempted me to see if it might work for awhile and might potentially give me 8 extra ports in the same rack space. My main concern was that in one place the product description says 240W over 16 ports and another says 200W over 16 ports. It advertises 30W max per port and IEEE802.3af/at compliance. It was unclear whether the product came with rack-mount ears or not.Mine came with removable ears and was nicely packaged in an anti-static bag. It runs many of my cameras except for my REOLINK PTZ RLC-423 models (802.3 at mode and supposed to draw <24W). Those cameras run fine off any of the TP-Link's which are advertised to distribute 150W over 8 POE ports. If you have low power cameras this might be a cost-effective box for you.

Waste of time.not gigabit!
I replaced a working TP-Link SFP converter with this switch since i needed more ports. After switching my speed tests came back at 100 mbs max. Also take a close look at the pictures of this unit. All ports are upside down! The release clips for the fiber and RJ45’s are all pointing down so if you have this switch table or wall mounted you cannot access the release clips. Compare to pictures of major manufacturers to see the difference. Dont waste your time like I did.
