What I had assumed to be another jerky bar, but with what we first worlders would call a gamey taste actually exceeded my expectations and changed my perceptions of the product. The mutton itself is not hard, like you would find in some other jerky bars, but soft and pliable. But its not completely mush, as the addition of the dried fruit in the mix gives it some body and chew. Overall the texture has two distinct feels, and is pleasing to the palate. The lamb is distinctly lamb, but it does not have an overt gamy taste, yet is distinct from other beef based bars. The most objectionable part of the bar is the Rosemary. Not as a flavoring, of course, as the rosemary offers a very floral pop in comparison to the heaviness of the other ingredients. No, the objection comes to the size of the spice, where you may be digging a chunk of conifer out of your molars after you have devoured the bar. And although the portion size may seem small, after consumption the hearty nature of the ingredients is actually quite satisfying. With the miniscule weight involved, this is a treat I would gladly take hiking.

I was braced for a weird taste. Instead I was very pleasantly surprised. They're tender and juicy and taste fantastic. These aren't huge but they're definitely decent for the price. And they have such clean ingredients. SO hard to find. And super low salt compared to most meat snacks, as well. One beef stick normally has close to twice as much sodium as this whole package does. That's impressive. Plus they're super convenient to have on hand or take on the run. These have saved me from blood-sugar crashes many times. You feel like you've had something more than just a handful of crackers or other carbs that spike blood sugar and then bring you down. Love them! Subscribed and am trying their other products now.

These are amazing, flavor is on point. But each package has hardly anything in it, and they’re so expensive. I still buy them sometimes, but always a special treat. Otherwise too expensive

These have a strong taste but keep well and are great for macros. They are little pieces, like 2-3. They do not have tomatoes or potatoes, which was the big motivation to buy.

Taste great, but kind of expensive for the serving size. I was very shocked when I opened up the package and saw how small it was. This product appears to be of great substance value, tasted great, I got the Lamb, but it was a little highly priced in regards to several other healthy snacks i was trying to incorporate in my daily routine. But most of all, i was surprised how small the portion sizes were in each package. I kind of felt like i was part of a joke. It's kind of like when you go to an expensive restaurant and pay a heft price for the highly rated food, and when they bring it out, its 3 bites of steak and a couple bites of sides, so you hit the drive-thru on your way home

omg, this stuff is AMAZING. I'm not a big lamb person but it's flavorful, soft and perfect.

Ridiculously delicious. In fact, so good you probably don’t deserve it. These little babies just melt in your mouth, with rich yet delicate flavor. They are not super chewy bars that require great time to consume. In fact I find myself deliberately slowing my mouth to allow enjoy the rush of sensations. These bars are made up of ground lamb mixed with ground fruit. The fruit carries enough moisture that these bars do not give you dry-mouth, as so many other protein bars do. Okay, the bars are small. Inside your somewhat oversized package you will normally find two small (tiny?) bars. So realistically at about three dollars for a package containing two small/tiny bars, these are not “value priced.” I couldn’t afford to eat them daily. But for a delicious and healthy snack when meetings run long, they are great to keep stashed in a purse or briefcase.
