Just used it for the first time and I like it!
This is my first safety razor. I chose this one partially because of its size. Its longer than most, and has a good weight to it. Its a good looking razor that appears to be made of great craftsmanship. It didn't shave as close as one of the plastic multi blade models you get from the supermarket, but that is probably because of how little pressure I applied. It came with a Feather double edge blade which was incredibly thin and scary sharp. Ive read some horrific accounts of people having really bloody experiences with safety razors the first time they use them. So I decided to err on the side of caution, and not a knick was to be had. I imagine as I get used to the new razor, I will become better at wielding it, and get a better closer shave. ALSO, I have body hair that is in constant need of attention. I used this on my shoulders and despite the length of the hair, it did not clog, or get clogged in the razor like it always does with the plastic ones. Overall. I am very happy, I save money (blades are about 30 cents to replace) and no more plastic razors sent to the land fills. Now I just have to figure out how to dispose of the used blades. I bought one of the razor blade banks for short term storage of used blades, but just tossing them in the garbage sounds potentially dangerous.

Fantastic razor, handle just the right size
This is a great razor! I was skeptical about using a safety razor as I was scared of accidentally cutting myself, but I knick myself less with this razor than I did with cartridge razors. I was also worried that the handle would be too small or too long, or that it would feel awkward in my hand. In actuality, it feels super comfortable! I usually like to include negatives or things I'd change in the review, but I don't have any for this razor. I also don't have anything to compare it to. But I'm extremely satisfied with this razor!

Handle shorter than expected
I really like this razor, and ordered the extra long handle as recommended for those that intend to use it to shave legs. The handle seems very similar to those on my previous disposable razors, not 'extra long' in particular. It's certainly usable, but I'd hate to see what the regular-length handle looks like! Other than that, great quality, heavy but balanced in the hand. Easy to take apart and replace the blade. Edited: 2.5 years in, the screw that holds the head and the handle sheared off.

Bought it twice in a good way
I've bought two of these, once for myself many years ago, and another one for my girlfriend recently. First comment: I did drop my initial purchase maybe 2 months after getting it in the shower from about waist height. It fell onto the head and it snapped at the screw connection rendering it useless. I contacted the seller on Amazon and they no questions asked sent me a new one. Great response time and customer service! I found my girlfriend commenting on the double edge razor multiple times and decided to get her one of her own. She was definitely into the price-efficiency (you can go through a TON of those expensive disposable razors before going through $10 worth of DE razors, trust me). Additionally these razors, from any brand, seem to last much longer than the multi-blade disposables. Basically what I'm saying is try one of these out. They will easily save you money in the long run. If you are concerned about nicking yourself or anything like that don't be. My experience with the Edwin Jagger is that it's easy to handle, appropriately weighted, stylish (in the model I got, which is just black and not over the top), and easy to change the blades on. Like I said, my girlfriend liked it enough to ditch her lady razors and jump on the DE train.

Great razor
This is a great razor, never cuts skin, smooth. It's supposed to be long handle, but I'm handicapped in my hands and it's usable but a little hard to hold with wet hands.

Comfortable shave
I had a short handled razor in the past and thought a longer handled one would be easier to use.

I got a defective one 😢
Maybe the one I got was a manufacturing defect maybe it's because when delivered it was left outside in Sub-Zero temperatures maybe it got banged around and shipping I don't know whatever the case as soon as I went to install the blade the head snapped off of the handle and when I looked closely I realized the tail cap was about to fall out too, I returned it, and that really stinks because it looked excellent I have purchased two other razors from them (same razor shorter size) and they have been perfect, the only reason I ordered a second one in the shorter size was because I lost the first one and I liked it so well that I bought another and then I found out they made a version with a longer handle so I ordered this, I really wanted to like it and I know manufacturing defect just happened sometimes unfortunately I have to give this one a bad review because it did fall apart, that said I still would not hesitate to purchase products from them again because the first two I got have been very good.

Nice razor.
I like the length of this handle, than the other EJ's I have. Just my preference!

Great, smooth shave. Worth spending a bit extra for on this for a better shave especially as it pays for itself if you are swapping for Gillette etc cartridges, and it's pretty much plastic free so much better for the environment.
