I was out of town for about 7 weeks. Didn't occur to me that my car battery would drain so much. I have a portable battery jumper which helped but it wasn't enough to charge the battery back to its fullest capacity. I kept needing to recharge it every time....I went to auto zone and they offered to charge it for free but it would require you to take the battery out of the car which would be okay but I didn't have the tools or experience on how to do that. As a 30 year mechanic, this little charger works great as it is intended. It’s meant to slowly recharge your battery.. At 6amps it’s faster than a 2 amp trickle charger, I Recharged both my totally Cadillac’s dead but still good battery in around 12 hours, and my TransAm’s dead but good battery in around 14 hours.. it turned itself off both times and work’d just like it should.

Hey it may be cheap. Been using th first one nonstop. For over a year. Poor thing lol. Just now bought the second one. Actually need three. But look no farther this is def worth the buck. Very capable and works one every feature they list above and beyond my expectations. Battery capacity is restored quickly. Had to repair a battery. That went well. Trickle charge works very well. It does disulfate batteries, which is a real plus.. I bought this in February 2023 and just figured out How the desulating Thing works. Different models of this thing work a little different. This is a six amp and I Also have a 10 amp. When you hit the mode switch repeatedly when you get to the far right of the options you are supposed to have a repair setting. But this six amp model does not say repair at that location like the 10 amp model does. And the light which is supposed to light up when it gets to the repair option barely comes on like the other lights do. I think in theory both chargers are supposed to automatically go into the desulfate mode When they are first connected and have a minute to check the battery out ,if they detect, the battery needs to be desulfated. But I think it is better to not count on that working and to instead click the mode button until you get to the repair mode and then give it a good 24 hours or even more sometimes to bring the battery back to good condition. These chargers, do not tell you the condition of your battery so you have to figure that out on your own. I recently bought a little battery tester (Motopower mpo515a )that you hold in your hand that test the batteries very well and tell you the resistance to charge which should be four or less And something called state of health or SOH as it is abbreviated. SOH is expressed as a percentage of the expected life left in a battery. My research showed that there are two primary means of desulfating and that one is better than the other, but Nexpeak is not telling the Technique, their chargers use. But whatever it is, it seems to work. So I figured that I just saved a bunch of money by bringing back to good health 2 batteries that had been on trickle charge for over a year each. Little by little they got sulfated and then we’re not working well when called upon. They were not able to take a good charge of 12.6 V and up. I think I saw somewhere recently that these chargers are supposed to have two year warranties each, but I’m not certain. But I may try to a replacement for my six amp charger because it does not seem to be working quite right as far as the lights and the writing on the plate has worn off where it says repair me hardly ever using the charger . So I guess that means they need a way of printing on the face of these things so it doesn’t wear off so easily. As I understand, it sulfiting is something that happens to the plates and they let acid battery. Whereas when they do their charge recharge cycling, some particles are generated which flake off and eventually make the chemical process not work very well, even to the point of making the cell go completely dead. I was able to revive a dead bike battery with this charger, initially within seconds battery was showing FUL and was not able to sustain load and start the bike. I removed the battery from bike and kept it in pulse charging mode over night. The next day, I let it charge in motorcycle mode for entire day.
