This book is a simple to understand read on DE. if someone is just getting started (like myself), then here you go. A quick explanation on DE, the difference between food grade and non-food grade, common uses for the lawn and garden, home pests, pet use, and human use. This will not go into deep detail about each subject, but just enough so you can start using this product. Very basic, simple and once again, great for the beginner. If you already know quite a bit about DE, this would not benefit you much if you want to dive deeper into uses and recipes. There are no recipes in this book.

I think this was a great length and very informative book on using DE. I learned a few great uses I plan to try including ingestion for myself and my two dogs. I was a bit disappointed, though, that there wasn't more on how to store DE and physically apply it , specifically for a first time user. should I store it in an airtight container? Use a shaker our dole it out by the spoonful? And how does one put it on their plant leaned anyway. reapply great suggestions and some basic instructions but I would have liked a little more "do it this way." thank you for sharing

This did come basic info. which I found helpful for my purposes. I think it costs too much for what is basically a pamphlet. I'm sure the number of pages were indicated when I purchased it, but I don't think I paid attention to that. I was looking at the health benefits of taking DE. While they sound very good, there is also info. about how much extra water you need to drink if using this. I always have difficulty drinking the amount of water I should drink, now. So I know that I will never be able to remember to increase my water significantly.

I am giving this book 5 stars because it taught me about Diatomaceus Earth, which I had never heard about until I read this book. After I read it, I looked it up on the internet, where I found many glowing testimonials about Diatomaceus Earth as an insect repellant, to eliminate parasites, to improve skin and hair, etc., So... I then looked to buy it, and so I bought a large bag (as the author recommends: "food grade"...) and after using it as an insect repellant, and drinking it for the benefits that it might give me, I am now a convinced user of Diatomaceus Earth as a basic supplement for my health. Very good book, I have lent it to my sons and recommended that my friends should read it.

I bought this book hoping it would be a great addition to my home library. I was hoping for information that would help me better utilize the bag of diatomaceous earth sitting in my pantry. I was so excited to get this in the mail! My first thought: Wow. This isn't even a book. Honestly, it is a booklet at best. It looks like something you would pick up for free at a fair somewhere. I sat down and read the whole thing front to back in one sitting. As I was reading the book, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. 80% of the booklet is fluff - the author talking about why he likes DE and how he thinks it is a really good substance to use. 20% of the booklet is actually using DE. Of the 20% that was useful, most of it can easily be found on the first page of a Google search. Here is how I see it - if I had seen this at a used bookstore for $7, I would have left it. Honestly, I would not have paid for this book. I am very disappointed.

I've read a lot about DE and found this book a perfect way to introduce friends and others to DE. It is easy and quick to read but has a pretty comprehensive list of the many uses for DE. This book doesn't go into a lot of specifics of applications but there is plenty of that when you are ready to go. I've given a lot of these away. People are loving it. This is a great basic digital book on diatomaceous earth (DE) and what to know before purchasing and using the product, and it is a fairly quick read. You sure DO NOT want to use the DE on the shelves of many stores that is for swimming pool filters if you are looking for pest control inside your home, as it is not safe for humans, pets, nor garden/similar outdoor use. The book covered enough of what I wanted to know about what to order and disbursing this product to be able to go ahead and order my DE (from Amazon) and use my first order of FOOD-GRADE diatomaceous earth when it arrived with the applicator, without worrying about doing something wrong or using it in a manner unsafe for humans or pets, or being afraid of it.

Who wouldn't want to deworm their pets and/or rid them of any kind of pest they might be burdened with. Ideas for using diatomaceous earth.

My aunt has to take this in very small quantities as she is very toxic but it is doing the job.

I am an absolute fan of Diatomaceous Earth! My whole family, including the dog of course are taking i and the results are wonderful. Unfortunatelly the book is very superficial and repetitive and you get more information about this product when you google it. Still it is not a bad book I was just expecting more information about DE.
