Sometimes in the kitchen I want to do a small batch and need a little pot. This "Kadhai" Stainless Steel (SS) Covered Pot holds 1 Quart easily with room at the brim for a bit more. It says it will hold 1.2L but that would be filled to the top edge. Kadhai is an Indian word (I see it also as Kadai) and this style pot is used in recipes such as "kadai paneer". I liked the highly polished SS construction with cool touch handles. Since this is small in size, the handles could heat sitting on a range. The glass lid is slightly domed and has a steam vent.Picture 1 is the pot, P.2 the size, P.3 the hard to peel off side sticker, P.4 the thick SS and aluminum layered 5 inch base, P.5 with 4 cups water. This is ideal for a studio apartment or individual who uses an induction hob to prepare smaller quantities. I believe the small base and curved sides limit the chance for food to stick and burn as easily on a low flame. I loved the size and absence of any coatings, just sturdy and attractive metal.I Recommend this Vinod Stainless Steel Kadhai Deluxe with Glass Lid, 18 cm, Induction Friendly. A gift for my daughter who was more disappointed than me because she cannot use it on her new induction stove. Otherwise it’s a beautiful piece.

1-Only bottom is thick.2-Inside handle joints were very sharp, had to use polish paper to remove the sharp joints.I took this one as it had glass lid & rubber handles & is Made in India.Disappointed with its finishing & only bottom thickness.

The rivet of the handles scrapes the fingers inside the pan. The Vinod stainless steel products I knew had best quality..not this piece...sadly deficient!

Balance and making is good. Grip is also comfortable to hold. I ordered it and a cooker of same brand separately. Later realised company can sell kadai and cooker as a combo at cheaper rates.

I have used vinod earlier also, now a days produxt quality decreased a lot, kadai bottom thickness is very very less, if out of sight within 30 secs it gets burnt.
