CPRSDBEX Wired Rain Sensor with Mounting Bracket and Wire

Works perfectly with the rain bird ESPTM2 eight station controller. It’s easy to set up and mount and connect to the controller.

Wish it would rain more so I could be sure it works... LOL!! It has rained a few times but it was downpours so I can't say the adjustment works but I am sure it is fine. Easy install and good quality. I like it.

Works as advertised and alerted my Rainbird app that irrigation cycle was stopped due to rain. Easy to install and little to no setup required.

It's a very good replacement for an old, worn out sensor. Only gave it four stars as the items wiring has been cheapened by very skinny gauge conductors making it somewhat difficult to connect to the original source wiring.

Great value for the cost. Works extremely well to prevent the irrigation system turning on during a rainstorm. Would highly recommend.

Perfect for shutting down sprinklers when it rains. Mine is set 1/4" . If it rains 1/4" shuts down sprinkler system til the water evaporates. Love it!!! Would recommend!

My initial plan was to install this on the roof soffit board, up near the rain gutter. Then when I started the installation I realized that the part has two controls, one for the amount of rain to activate the signal, the other that regulates the drying rate. If I placed it up on the soffit, then I would need a ladder to tweak the settings. Instead I selected attaching the sensor at the top edge of a nearby fence, about 6' above ground. This height permits me to see the setting legends and modify those settings when standing at that location, w/o having to get a ladder. The part comes w/ mounting screws and is easy to attach. I use Schedule 80 PVC conduit for routing the cable, from the sensor to the controller. The Rain Bird ESP-Me controller already had a ~¼" hole drilled through the bottom surface, perfect for running the sensor wire. The excess wire was just coiled inside. There was plenty of wire. The controller had a short sensor bypass wire that was removed. The controller also has a menu selection, requiring toggling the rain sensor from BYPASS to ACTIVE. This hasn't yet been tested by a Florida torrential downpour.
