Elizabeth Egan wusste nichts davon, aber sie benötigte dringend jemanden, der ihr sagt, dass das Leben manchmal hart ist, aber deswegen noch lange nicht in Bitterheit und Einsamkeit geführt werden muss. Viel zu lange hat sie aus ihrem Herzen eine Mördergrube gemacht und ist deshalb, als sie Ivan trifft, die meiste Zeit über sich selbst überrascht. Überrascht über die Dinge wie Träume, Ängste, Erinnerungen und Fantasien, die sie versteckt hielt und die endlich mal raus mussten. Ahern schafft es dabei aber an keiner Stelle des Buches in Seifenoper-Kitsch zu verfallen, eher in eine sanfte, irische "fabelhafte Welt der Amelie" mit einem Hauch "Stadt der Engel" - nicht zu viel, denn wir wollen es ja nicht hollywood-verkitscht haben. Entstanden ist ein echtes Wohlfühlbuch für Regentage, mein erstes von ihr, aber ganz sicher nicht mein letztes. Fantasievolle, poetische, aber dennoch ehrliche und auf dem Punkt gebrachte Formulierungen und herzerwärmende Dialoge machen dieses Buch zu einem "traumhaft"-schönen Leseerlebnis. Sehr zu empfehlen!

I really love this story,her storytelling is amazing and you could just really feel the emotions she wants you to experience throughout this book. This book has amazing lesson for the reader and i won't spoil it even if I am dying to write about it,but give this book a read and you will know what i am talking about.Its not just that,this story will surprise you in the best possible ways.

Probably one of my most favourite books of all time, and I've read a lot of books! It's enchanting, magical, uplifting, emotional and everything you could ask for in a book. It will stay with you forever. It teaches you important lessons about life which you'll never forget. I love Cecelia's style of writing, she makes the story captivating and easy to follow; you don't have to re-read certain parts because it didn't make sense the first time like in some other books. You end up caring about the characters themselves, which I see to be a very important feature of a good story. This book is a work of fiction, but it isn't entirely far-fetched or untrue-beyond-belief for those of you who are not into the 'escape to a magical world' kind of thing. Yes, the book is magical, but in an entirely realistic way.

Ich bin noch im ersten Drittel des Buches. Bisher ist es schon ganz nett zu lesen aber fesselt mich jetzt nicht so wie ich es gewohnt bin von der Autorin. Im großen und ganzen ganz nett. Versand und Bestellung war aber alles super und reibungslos!
