Sharp and sturdy. Unbeatable customer service.
Pruner comes sharp, greased, and ready to use. It has a sturdy design and I constantly push it to the limits (I'll get back to this later). Handle is standard vinyl material, but is comfortable. The spring between the handles is the coiled metal variety as shown in the picture. I recommend taking a silicone or suitable substitute lubricant and spraying down that spring to protect it from moisture. If the shears get wet and you leave the moisture on the shears, that spring will rust and lose the ability to spring the handles open again after cutting. Furthermore, you'll end up with a terrible grinding sensation as the metal moves against itself. So, these shears can handle some thick stuff while staying sharp and intact. However, my abuse of the product led to the screw that secures the blade to the shears coming loose and falling out. I called their customer service line. Within one day they had processed my order and sent me an entirely new product free of charge. I had asked for the screw that holds on the blade. Though they likely won't do this for everyone. I want people to know that they have excellent customer service that strives to exceed their customer's expectations. I will buy from them again.

Great Features That Other Pruning Shears Lack
I put these to a good test trimming out branches off a pile of bamboo. I like the heft, it feels solid in my hand like a well made product. I also like the design of the locking tab - because it goes up, it doesn't accidentally drop and lock down like other pruning shears I've used which were a true nuisance. All it takes is a flick of my thumb to push the lock up into place when I want them locked. The grip is comfortable and like another reviewer noted, the red handles make it easy to find while working. Someone put a lot of thought into making these.I double checked mine for the gap mentioned by another customer and found that my two metal pieces that make the blade are melded together with no gap. Someone else mentioned that they don't last long. It's springtime and I'll be using these a lot. So far, they've made a great first impression.

Good pruner!!
I had always wanted to get a pruner, for those times when I get flowers for my birthday or something since scissors are not the best options to cut the bottoms of the flowers. I finally decided to buy them and I have to say I love how easy to use and get my flowers ready and pretty on a vase, this fall I also plan to use them to prune my roses and get them ready for next season, so far so good. Fast shipping and nice box.

I used them with gloves and they are reasonably comfortable. My main concern is that the blade is ...
These are “OK” The movement was jerky out the box but a little silicone at the middle spring remedied that. I am using them for fall clean up in my garden. They are sharp and can handle thick tomato stalks with no problem. I used them with gloves and they are reasonably comfortable. My main concern is that the blade is actually 2 parts that are attached and there is a small gap between the 2 blades (hopefully this shows up in the photos). I imagine wet soil and plant juices will get in there and rust it out pretty quickly so I will probably be testing the warranty claim. Not worth the hassle to return but I would not purchase again.

Great deal
A surprisingly high quality tool for the price. Did all of my fall trimming using this pruning shear and it worked well. I dinged it one star for the lock that keeps the shears closed (not a great design) and for the "finish". However, for the price I paid (8 bucks) this is one heck of a deal for a tool that I expect to last for years if used properly (don't cut through metal)

Works on plants and so much more!
This have worked perfect for the fall clippings I've needed to do. They are also a great multi-task tool. For instance. I have a huge 110 lb German Shepherd K-9. Clipping his toenails have always been troublesome to me. One night I was thinking it was time to clip his nails and I was dreading it, and I looked down at my table and saw these and had an epiphany. Yes Virginia, you can clip steel claws with these. If I never use these on another plant again, I don't care. They are perfect for trimming Cujo's, er, Zephyr's toenails.

Good for Small Hands
I was attempting to prune the shrubs and bushes around my house and was extremely frustrated with the pruning shears that my husband had in the garage. I have small hands and I was unable to open the shears wide enough to prune even the smallest branch, using one hand. I went searching for an affordable pair of pruning shears that were made for small hands. These shears are great! Although I still cannot open them 100% with one hand, I can open the most (about 90%) of the way and this made yard work almost enjoyable. They are sharp and seem to be well built.

Great Customer Service
Got these a couple of weeks ago and during their first use, the screw holding the blades together popped out similar to what other reviewers had said. The pruner worked great until then, cut like butter, was easy on my hands, it was wonderful and I was very disappointed that they became unusable so quickly. I literally hadn't used them more than twenty minutes! Anyway, the seller instantly was on it, doing all the right things to ensure great customer service. I hope the new pair they are sending me will last a whole lot longer than this first pair did! Thank you L&G!
