Seems to work well.
Last one was from a local parts store and it never really worked right, it would race up to 2200rpm when it was started or when turning the AC on, then slowly come back down. Now on cold starts it goes to about 1200 then comes down as it warms up just like it should.

This is the idle air control you need to buy
I replaced an original ACDelco IAC on my '96 Chevy Silverado c1500 5.7 l with this Delphi IAC and I noticed be a dramatic improvement. It shipped relatively quickly and really performs and still is performing to this day considering if I'm not mistaken it was a refurbished one or renewed not a brand new one. It fit very well and snugly in place of the old one and I have not had a problem since. I would definitely recommend a Delphi idle air control valve for a '90s model OBS Chevy or GMC 1500 5.7 l.

Increased power and MPG.
Delphi Idle Air Valve of good quality was a perfect fit for my 1998 Blazer with 4.3L. Replacing this part along with removing the throttle body and giving it a good cleaning noticeably improved engine power! I would guess 10hp. Also increased MPG by 2. I wish that I had done this sooner.

Good stuff
I bought a cheap valve here for around $12. The idle was inconsistent and the engine came close to stalling intermittently and sometimes seemed to have a mind of its own as often it didn't want to slow down after taking my foot off the accelerator. I replaced it with one of the Delphi brand and everything is back to normal. No regrets other than not buying this in the 1st place.

99 7.4 vortec fixed surging at idle.
1999 7.4 vortec. Only had it installed for a few weeks. This took care of a surging I had at idle. Mechanic could not figure it out. Actually said specifically he didn’t think that’s what it was, so I neglected to focus on it. Dealt with the surge for years bc it wasn’t a huge issue. Once truck warmed up it compensated for the malfunctioning part. Finally got an engine light. Engine light code said IAC. Replaced, no more surge. Try cleaning original first. I cleaned mine originally waiting for my new one. The cleaning alone almost got rid of the surge by itself.
