Specs indicate 80, mine at 50 is easy for it. **Q: is this safe for carbon frames and seat posts?** A: You can rest it on the clamp arm on a rubberized pad. You can also clamp an old set of bars, pad them, & use them as a frame craddle. I do no clamp my carbon. **Q: Made in China?** A: Made in USA.
