Exactly What You're Looking For
So if you're like me you probably started looking around for cat fountains without really knowing much about them, just being familiar with the concept. It's always scary finding something for your pet that can affect their health, because it has to improve the problem (water consumption for cats) while also not making anything worse (dirty/scummy water.)I can say after spending over an hour of searching, reading reviews, watching videos, and educating myself on activated charcoal filtration systems, that this fountain is the holy grail of cat fountains. I'll outline some issues I saw people having with other fountains that led me to choose this one.Worms in the filter: Some lower-end fountains apparently have filters that lend themselves as nice habitats for worms or other bugs to lay eggs. This is not really possible with this fountain, which you'll realize once you see it. There's two filters, a small carbon filter that is always under the water, and a foam filter that goes around the inside of the little tower. They are both concealed at all times, and easily accessible when refilling, you just pull the tower off and you can inspect everything and make sure it's all clean. Don't be alarmed if there's a small ring around the water level when you first fill it, that's just some loose carbon from the new filter, it'll stop after a little while, and is completely harmless/odorless/tasteless.Noise Level: It's completely silent. 100% zero noise from anything mechanical. Sitting right next to it you can hear a small splash every 10-15 seconds. That's literally it. I plugged it in and I didn't even realize it had turned on at first because I couldn't hear it at all.Assembly: Very very simple. The pump sticks to the bottom of the bowl with some suction cups, and then you install the two filters and put the tower on top. Fill it and plug in and that's it!Appearance: Really nice, it's not even obvious right away that it's for an animal, it honestly looks like it could be a nice decoration depending on where you put it.Spare Parts: I'm not sure if this is even mentioned in the listing, but I was delighted to find that the fountain comes with one extra pump/motor, which is supposed to last for ~2 years anyway, as well as two extra carbon filters (3 total). The carbon filters are supposed to be replaced every 2-3 weeks, maybe longer if you only have one cat, like I do. So you have a pretty nice kit right from the start.Cleaning: It's porcelain so it's very easy to clean. You just take the tower out, then unstick the pump, and then the base + tower can go in the dishwasher if you want. I haven't needed to do that yet, I've just been rinsing out everything with tap water so far and it's been keeping pretty clean.Cat's Opinion: Every cat is different, so yours might have an issue for some reason. What I can say is my cat loves it, he can drink out of the lower basin and the tower no problem, and he's drinking a very healthy amount of water since we got it. He was a little weirded out at it at first but once he realized it was cool, gentle water he started to really like it.Bottom line, do your research and see what issues people have with other fountains. Then come back here and see that none of them apply to this one.

Love it so far
So far I love this. I wanted it as soon as I saw it for the aesthetic, when I saw it on sale i couldn’t help myself. My cats stopped drinking out of my old plastic flower one, no reason I could think of why, they never seemed to love it anyways but they would use it. This one stays cleaner much longer, water looks cleaner, easier to clean and change filters, water stays cooler, very quiet, holds a good amount of water, easy to see when water is low, easy to set up, sturdy/quality material, purchasing replacement filters was easy and cost effective. I hope it continues to work as well as it has been because I really love it and my cats seem to like it much better than the plastic too.

Motor broke within 6 months
motor broke in less than six months. Power supply fell apart and broke after a couple of months and we had to glue it together. Waste of money. In the short time that it was functional, the cats liked it

10/10 for someone who hates mold but is also kind of lazy
I've had this fountain for ~7 months and love it! My cats love it and it's pretty mold resistant, so it doesn't get creepy if I skip a weekly cleaning.***TIP IF THE MOTOR IS RUNNING LOUD***I've found that, after cleaning the fountain, letting it dry, reassembling it, and filling it again with water, the pump tends to run loud enough to hear it. But if I unplug the fountain (with the fresh water in it), take off the top ceramic part, and then press the motor down to reseal the suction cups with the bottom of the ceramic bowl, then it runs completely silently once I plug it back in. In other words, when you assemble the fountain dry, you often need to reinforce the suction cup seal to the bottom of the bowl with a little bit of moisture. That resolves loud running/vibration of the motor for me!Cat response: Both of my cats prefer running water, so this fountain has been a great fit for them. One of my cats, a shy male cat, especially loves this fountain. He drinks noticeably more water now, based on what I see in the litter boxes. I also have the fountain up on a counter, and the cats love drinking from a safe, high perch.Cleaning: I appreciate that the whole fountain disassembles into easy-to-clean parts. The motor disassembly is a bit laborious (I have to use a toothpick to get the magnetic...fan? out of the motor. And the cap that fits over the motor is difficult to pry off, I usually use a metal chopstick to do so). I usually disassemble the motor every _other_ cleaning for my own sanity.Mold: No mold growth in the fountain in the past ~7 months, even in warmer weather. I used to have a cat fountain with an overarching spout; the spout was not completely submerged in water while in use, so black mold quickly developed in there and was difficult to eradicate. In this cupcake fountain, however, the motor and spout are constantly submerged in water, so I've never seen mold develop, even if I delay cleaning an extra week.Noise level: As I noted in my tip above, long as I give the motor an extra push to seal it to the bottom of the bowl with water, it runs completely silently. Always.Replacement parts: As of writing this review, this seller does sell replacement filters. I do recommend changing those out diligently!

It’s quiet and cute
Easy to put together, really quiet and it’s adorable. My dog loves it.The only thing I didn’t find was an extra filter in the package. My cat won’t use it. It does make a “ bubbling sound “

Looks great and is functional
Much better solution for our furry babies than a regular water bowl... which our Maine Coon kept tipping and dumping. Its really quiet compared with others we've tried.

Motor Burnout
Fountain was great for a little while, it’s really cute, quiet, and easy to clean. However, the motor burned out within a year which is really disappointing.

Quiet, Beautiful, and Functional
The media could not be loaded. I got this for my sister and our kitty. They live in a small basement suite so she was finding her previous fountain to be too loud. This fountain is beautiful and silent. Ann (our kitty) loves it too. There is plenty of space to drink from if you have multiple cats. Hopeful that this fountain lasts as so far it was an excellent purchase.
