MASBRILLRechargeable Dog No Bark Collar for Medium-Sized and Large Dog, No Shock Barking Collar (Blue, M)

Our American Staffie has always been a barker, as its her way to signal she wants attention but after moving to a new home with neighbor on not o ly both sides but up and down the street her barking was rewarded by getting the whole neighborhood barking and we no longer could stop her by just a 'no bark' command. There was no way I was going to use a shock device even with the barking so out of control there was no getting her attention. After a lot of research, reading reviews and after our vet said a collar that only beeped and vibrated with no shock at all had worked fir one of his adult dogs that as an adult developed anxiety barking we decided to give it a try. Masbrill appeared to have the best reviews so we went with that. We started our day by putting the collar on and making sure it was snug enough with the prongs for vibration touching her skin. I think many that have said it did not even work at all with their dog may have not fitted or placed it correctly. The longer prongs are technically for dogs with thicker fur to reach to the skin or you can clip there fur where you plan to place the working part if the color. Some dogs can be sensitive to having a snug collar where you can only get one finger under it. In that case you might try the longer prongs and the collar a little looser but still tight enough to make sure head shaking, running, chasing, tussling does not cause it ti move about. Our dog went into an incessant run of barking about 30 minutes after her collar was placed, and she went through six levels of beeps and then beeps and vibrates but then when it started beeping the 7th time she stopped barking as if she was making the association, although we were not expecting she would get the idea that quickly. During the rest of the day all the thing that would normally send her into 15 minutes of barking, dud cause her to start barking but as soon as she reached the level if first vibration and not beeps alone, she stopped barking and under 2 minutes of barking from her normal 15 or more when she usually did, it was a very noticeable change. The second day, she never let it reach he vibration stage, instead stopping after the second beeps. I did follow my vets advice and positioned the collar so that the probes were in a bit different place to avoid any irritation or here learning to tune out the vibrations as they always were in the same spot. We remove the collar at bedtime and when she takes her normal long late morning nap. We have a puppy also as well as a neighborhood full of dogs and no other barking or sound from computer games or music have set it off. Something we should gave tried along time ago but did not know there was a no shock option.

Works great but barely fits my Lab may have to buy a bigger one

Charge only lasts less than a day after 4 mos. Use it for My dog barking - wakingrymy neighbors.

At first worked like a charm, then after a couple weeks it stopped working. Had it fully charged but wouldn’t recognize barking. Also had it tight enough and still wouldn’t work. I would opt for a more expensive brand if you want something guaranteed to work.
