However one day, when I accidentally brushed up against my car, the lid held strong to the body of the case so instead of falling off, it forced my AirPods case open and my air pods fell out. It was then that I decided I needed a case that had some sort of locking mechanism. I was very skeptical of this case for its lid not being attached but the locking latch holds it snug in place.The case itself is very solid yet also flexes as the corners to absorb shock. While the case’s design is not cute and it lacks personality, it serves its purpose and that’s the most important thing to me. So far, so good. The silicone case i had wouldn't stay on, ended up screwing up the apple case by using hot glue to get silicone case to stay on. Once i got the case to stay on i was content keeping it for protection. One day at a gas station the case came out of my pocket as i was pulling my keys out because of the stickiness of the silicone and they landed on the ground, lid flew open and air buds flew out and ended up losing one of them. This case stays on and I love the lid lock so I will never have to worry about headphones flying out when i inevitably drop it. No worries at all with this case. Great texture and feel in hand of the case, feels nice and solid and not too bulky. Was also surprised that they sent a case for the case! what!? at first i thought they screwed up but no it's a case for the case. Will probably never use it but whatever.
