Cuisinart DLC-048TX-1 Replacement 8mm Extra Thick Slicing Disc Blade Fits Models DFP-14, DLC-2014, & MP-14 Only OEM

I really didn't know whether to get the large or extra large for canning up some Carolina Coleslaw - but I guessed right! For our tastes, this is the right thickness.

Perfect size for slicing, I wished the cuisinart food processor would have come with this slicer. The slicer that it comes with, slices very thin. This is much better! Great Quality!

Worked perfectly on halved onions, easy to use, exact size of slices I hoped for. Next time, potatoes!

Added to my collection, some sizes of shredders and slicers that I did not have. I have a 14 cup Cuisinart Food Processor WHICH I LOVE, and decided to purchase discs so I could do more things. I re-read my Cuisnart pamphlet that listed every disc/blade, the model number, size and what each one did. Surprisingly, it is not that easy to find them at the places that I surely thought they'd be, so checked Amazon. Low and behold they were all here. Selected from 2 different sellers because no one had all that I needed. Both were great, speedy and in perfect condition. This is great for potatoes and other thicker cuts of things. So convenient.

I bought this primarily for stews that I make using my 12 cup Cuisinart Food Processor. 8mm really makes a difference over the 4mm blade / disc that came with the processor. Nice thick slices of carrots & other vegetables, plus it works great for slicing chicken (partially frozen or partially thawed). Cut a boneless breast in half, run it through the processor with the 8mm blade in place, and you'll have perfect chicken medallions.

The perfect size for processing things like rhubarb for vacuum sealing and freezing!

I wish this 8mm disc had been part of the package in my 14 cup Cuisinart food processor. It is the perfect size for slicing up potatoes for mashed potato making. It's also a great size for a few other things, but I've only had it for two days and only used it for slicing potatoes. It is very very sharp (as it should be), and easy to snap onto the stem. I would highly recomment it to anyone who owns a 14 Cup Cuisinart food processor.

Does exactly what it was designed to do. Great when making thicker slices of vegetables such as squash and zucchini for pan sautéing. Pieces hold up much better when they are at least this thick. Previous slicer blades for the smaller processessors only went to 4 or 6mm. Those size slices would break up when cooked. The usual Cuisinart quality steel. composition.
