Thinking they may be run with solar charged batteries, I took them to Batteries + to get new batteries (which was not very acceptable given they were barely a month old!) However, after removing the solar panel we discovered they are not run by batteries but a solar run motor. There is a small rubber belt that turns the gears to make it spin. Both were broken and un-fixable. I purchased this motor to rotate an eyecatcher wind spinner. The solar panel worked great. It was easy to use and to set up. It spins fast and I was happy with how it was working. After only three days the motor broke and I can’t get it to work.
