Fantastic urban tires!
After much research and reading as much as I can about these tires, I decided to give the ThickSlicks a try on my 27.5" MTB, and it was a total Win~!99% of my riding takes place on smooth bikeways, such as the 50-mile-long Santa Ana River Trail (SART), and the ThickSlicks are perfectly designed for such surfaces. The tires are heavier than my previous Continental X-King MTB tires that came with my wheelset, but once you get the ThickSlicks rolling, they glide effortlessly and quietly.I took the tires on some hardpack dirt trails and they performed fine. I did have to be more careful, though, when cornering and when going through deeper sand spots. The tires were easy to mount onto my 25mm inner width wheels and they didn't give me any trouble.I recently did a 41-mile ride from a city to the beaches then back, and the ThickSlicks increased my average speed and reduced leg fatigue compared to riding on the knobby MTB tires.I would definitely keep on buying the ThickSlicks. 5 Star Win~! π

Better than I expected
These tires outperform the cheap mountain bike tires that came on my e-bike in every way. The original tires wore out in under 400 miles and were noisy. These are smooth, quiet and unbelievably βsticky.β Great traction even in rain. Highly recommend.

Work great for indoor smart trainer
I have a 27.5 Mountain Bike and a spare wheel (with cassette and rotor) that wanted to use with a turbo trainer during Winter. I was looking for a specific trainer wheel (Continental, Schwalbe) that could fit my bike but all options were sold out, too expensive or long shipping from Europe. I read in the Kinetic turbo trainer website that they have used this WTB ThickSlick Comp, with good results (durability and low noise)... So, I gave it a try. I'm super happy with the results. No need to buy any of the other specific trainer tires brands. Despite is black, no stains in my turbo trainer roller (Lifeline TT-02 Fluid trainer), plus my bike looks awesome (without those weird colors from the other brands) and was cheaper. No noise either. Very happy customer.

Just put these on.Kinda worried that they would look too skinny and small. Not the case. Aired up to a nice thick tire.Look super sharp. About to head down to the beach for a few. THANKS THICK SLICK. ππ

BE CAREFUL ON WET SURFACES!!!!!
I love the look of these tires. I put them on my 2017 diamondback overdrive comp MTB and could tell a huge difference while riding on the road. I normally ride the trails, but I've been really hitting the road a lot lately, so I decided to get some new tires. It was a little wet the first day I rode but did a few brake test and seemed to have enough grip to make me feel comfortable. 5 miles into my ride, I picked up some speed to beat oncoming traffic so I could take a left onto a different street. As I made my left turn, I lost all grip, slammed on my left side and slid a good 15ft. I had plenty of layers on, so I didn't get too messed up, just a few bruises. Despite busting my ass using these tires, I still enjoy riding the roads with these tires compared to my mtb tires. Just be careful riding on wet surfaces!

Great tire for indoor training
I have a bike with 650b wheels and have been using this tire for about 6 months. I purchased a Wahoo Kckr Snap to train indoors during the week. The tires on my bike didn't work well with the Kckr Snap, they were loud and didn't grip the roller well. I searched everywhere for a 650b training tire and eventually found this. It works great on my indoor trainer and after 6 months there is very little wear on the tire. I am very happy with the purchase.

Perfect trainer tire
My wife wanted a tire to use on the trainer instead of the knobby mountain bike tires. This tire is the ticket. Smooth as butter and after months of use it has no signs of wear. She likes it so much we're getting another so put on the front to ride on the road. If you want a tire to ride your mountain bike on the trainer or on the road, this is the one. And the all black sidewall with fat ThickSlick writing just looks hot.

Not happy with the quality of this tire
I planned to use this tire on my mountain bike on my indoor trainer.I installed the tire with a brand new inner tube. The tire rolled onto the rim very easily, no need for tire levers. I pumped the tire up to around 20 psi with my hand floor pump, checked the bead all the way around. On the tire sidewall it rates the tire for 35-65 psi, see photo. The bead looked good, so I continued pumping to 60 psi and I removed the pump from the tube's presta valve. After a few seconds, I heard some creaking sounds coming from the wheel and then the bead of the tire ripped off, see photo, and the inner tube bulged and blew out, all in a split second. Fortunately I had some wireless earbuds in at the time or I'm sure my ears would have been ringing like crazy. So, I'm not sure if these are good tires because the one I had failed. Maybe they aren't meant to work with rims as wide as mine, RaceFace ARC 30s? I don't recall there being any mention of recommended rim widths in the Amazon listing. In any case, I'll have to try something else.
