Perfect dust collection for larger sized concrete core bits. Easy to connect and use. Make sure the surface you place it on is reasonably flat in order for the vacuum suction to keep it in place. It does work for overhead drilling as well, but won't be as convenient compared to the normal horizontal and downwards positions. This is not a shortcoming of the accessory, but rather the weight of the rotary hammer and trying to keep it in a vertical position. The included adapter will fit standard shop-vac type hoses. If you are connecting a hose with non-standard ends, then this may present a problem. The easy fix might be some duct tape, but it's better to source the right fitting. There are available various inexpensive shop-vac reducing adapters for attaching to smaller diameter hoses. This dust shroud is well made. The flexible rubber seal is of good quality, and can be replaced if damaged. The body is of rigid, glass-filled nylon.

Why did I only just find out about this!? What a superb tool, I use it with my Henry hoover which goes straight into the dust extractor, and the suction to the wall is superb. I’ve done a few 125mm core holes and the dust is minimal. Really good but, I will be getting the smaller one next!
