Good performance in a compact size
This antenna delivers solid range and clarity for LoRa and HaLow devices. Itโs small enough to tuck into tight setups but still offers a noticeable improvement over standard included antennas. The signal strength is cleaner and more consistent, especially in outdoor environments where line-of-sight is key. The build quality feels solid and it mounts securely without any wobble or looseness. One thing to keep in mind is that the gain is advertised at 5 dBi, but in real-world use itโs not going to triple your range or anything like that. Itโs a good upgrade, just not magic. That said, for the size and ease of install, itโs definitely worth having in your gear.

Solid upgrade
These are reliable performers. I have several Meshtastic nodes running reliably with these antennas. They are not magic, but they are a solid upgrade over the stock antenna. Good range improvement. For the price, this is one of the best investments in improving your Meshtastic setup that you can make. Recommendations: You will need an N-connector pigtail and waterproof tape to seal up the connection. The silicone tape works well and will keep the rain out.

The Alfa 915 is a must
I've used Alfa for other network adapters and antennas, and getting into Meshtastic I knew I wanted to try this 915 / 5dbi antenna. I'm in hilly farmland and it's getting several miles away to my local router node as well as providing my entire valley a route. The build quality is excellent, heavy build and high quality. Love it. Alfa nailed it as always. So far it's holding up well this winter outside just fine. Roughly 6 inches long, it's nothing super obnoxious and can be used on a home base node or a mobile node and not be in the way.

Solid 40km link
I use this antenna with meshcore and it has vastly outperformed other antennas in a similar height class, like the muziworks 17cm handheld antenna. Both reception and transmit work amazing with this antenna, and although, according to an online antenna testing source, it is not truly 5 dbi in gain, it has still enabled my Heltec v4 to become a useful repeater. With this antenna, the repeater has achieved a 62 kilometer (~39 miles) ping and a stable link with a non-mountain repeater while sitting in a window. Very impressed with this antenna, though probably not the full stated 5 dbi. Pros: - Amazing performance, outperforms 17cm whip - Has a solid connection with the female N adapter - Well built Cons: - Heavier and bulkier than a 17cm whip - Threaded part does not turn independently of the antenna - Not true 5 dbi

Great as part of a Lora Mesh node - holds up in all types of weather
I use these antennas on several Lora Mesh nodes I build. I don't know what type of black magic is in these, but they always seem to perform well. Be aware that there are several counterfeits out there so be sure you're getting the genuine ALFA. The counterfeits don't perform nearly as well.

Broke First Use
The first time I tried to install the antenna it came apart. I had high hopes due to the reviews but maybe I got a dud. Unfortunately I've had it sitting new in the bag on a shelf for month or so, and I'm out of the return period or it would be going back. Complete waste of my money.......
