Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 New King James Version For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2. Some words are omitted, making it simpler. Therefore, it is better to go side by side with other versions. Here's the reference Luke 19:40 New Living Translation He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!” Luke 19:40 New King James Version But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” The above verse, if u see, has omitted the word "immediately" which also has significance to understand the situation.
