Forget the expensive minimalist shoes - save your money and at least try these.
I've been an amateur running enthusiast for around 15 years. About 10-years-ago, I made the switch to barefoot (zero-drop) running. I was convinced of the data coming out of places like Harvard and University of New Hampshire. You have to realize that decades of million (and now billion) dollar ad campaigns and athlete sponsorships have muddied the waters of science to sell more sneakers. No running shoe is going to provide as much shock absorption or rebound as my calve muscle. I've run half-marathons on a whim and sustained literally no injuries that I can think of in years of running. Anyway, you're here looking at these so you're probably already onboard or willing to try. I've used several varieties of vibrams for years. They don't hold up. The fit is tough. The toe slots are unnecessary. Just get these. They last, they feel EXACTLY the same as vibrams, and are a fraction of the cost, and already have lasted three times longer. I've got everyone in my family from my younger sister who runs to adopt them to my brother, to my mom who has balance issues and LOVES them. CONS: - UPDATE: As others report, the sole material is very soft, to the point where it begins to *stick* to the treadmill or to the asphalt or get torn up in rocks as it begins to gum and melt with any sort of outside heat or friction. Because of this, they tend to wear out a bit sooner than they otherwise would. The material seems to degrade faster over time and my experience is that I get about 3-4 months of daily use out of these before they've got lumps on the bottom or outright holes. If they can use a slightly harder and temperature-resistant material, it would go a very long way to improving these. - They are NOT very breathable. If you run in hot climates, expect your feet to warm up fast and to sweat quite a bit. It seems my feet have adapted after a couple months of use. I hope in future iterations they incorporate something a bit more breathable on the top of the foot. - They might be slightly inefficient at sprinting paces since you can't tighten them down, but they still fit pretty snugly for my needs. Maybe they can widen the toe box slightly which would allow to go a half-size down. In any case they still feel snug like a sock. If you're concerned about efficiency loss I recommend perhaps getting "grip socks" that have rubber grips on the bottom to wear in conjunction with these. - Wash them frequently, for because they're not breathable and don't dry out they are a bacterial haven and smell quite quickly like a used sock. - The cuff of the sock (the top part above the ankle) loses its elasticity after a couple months of use. Be careful not to over-stretch. Hope they can strengthen this more. - Style: Well, some find them kind of neat and some think they're a little odd. I actually don't mind them but I'm not at the stage of my life where fashion is my priority. Overall assuming they fall within this similar price, I will continue to purchase this product.

Excellent! They run a little big.
Excellent for workout! I purchased these to wear just for rowing on my Hydrow, rebounding and at-home gym workouts. They are exactly what I was hoping for. They are soft and comfortable on top but protective on the sole and heel. Hey did fit a little big. I usually wear a 10 (womenโs) but needed to size down to a 9.

Third try is a charm??
I originally purchased a pair of these sock shoes from a company on Amazon by the name of Joomra. WHITIN was stamped big and bold on the sole of those Joomraโs, so I came here and purchased a pair of WHITINS, this review basically covers both of them. And why I came here. Too bad these donโt look as good as the Joomras, they certainly are more comfortable. Update: I did go purchase from the. Company logo on the bottom of these: WHITIN. I found the quality was not on par with these as the rubber has defects that are noticeable. However I am keeping them and returning these. Why? The WHITINS are easier to put on, though I purchased the exact same size, the WHITINโS run a tad bit larger, making them easier to put on, and they arenโt so tight they become uncomfortable. So WHITIN. Wins. Iโm sure they donโt care because they are obviously the same company selling under another name. These, the Joomra, however just look a bit better. I will take comfort over a few flaws in the rubber. I would guess my womenโs 8 in WHITIN are closer to 8.5.. Original review: I bought a size 7 womenโs. In these Joomraโs. They are really great feeling, the way they โhugโ your foot, however they were too short. I returned & re-purchased an 8 womenโs, this is where things got wonky. This pair (the 8) has some glue balls rolling around under the ball of my foot, like sand paper, itโs extremely irritating. I found I could barely get my foot through the opening, my ankles are only 9 inches and they were so tight, they hurt the front of my foot where it bends. I have yet another pair on order from the name on the bottom these, WHITIN. I must assume itโs the same company, different name, perhaps I will hit on the perfect pair. I donโt know. These are going back, after I receive the next pair. So hoping these will fit, the length on these 8โs are perfect. I have wide feet, Iโm not a barefoot runner, or walker, but I have lived barefoot most of the pandemic. These are so comfy. I bought them for slippers, but ran outside in the snow briefly for a photo shoot. They are super grippy. I canโt wait to try them with my recumbent trike. They make your feet sweat. But the one that didnโt have glue balls rolling around in it was smooth and very comfortable. These are so inexpensive, I may buy at least two pair, so while one is being washed I can wear another. I do have other barefoot shoes, but none are as comfortable as these.

Best shows I've worn so far in my life
So, I bought my first pair and instantly fell in love with them. I've worn barefoot shoes for close to seven years... I think.. honestly, time flies for me. Anyways, I've worn them non-stop. I even use them for work, and I work for hours on end on my feet walking, busting my butt all the time, and they're the best shoes I've worn when it comes to working. (Don't try this unless your feet are strong enough walking barefoot for hours.. WORKING. And you actually know how to walk CORRECTLY barefoot. Definitely not for beginners.) I even took them to Cali for vacation up in the mountains where it was snowing with very slippery and icy floors. Out of everyone in the family, I was the only one who didn't slip lmfao there was one time I almost did, but it's like I had enough grip to stay put. Kept my feet warm enough at least, I didn't really feel cold.. but I was also wearing socks, but they were wet in the end. I legit had a great time with them regardless. I've took them also to hike in, and it was great! And even to Disney, you can just imagine those long walks lol Came back to Miami where it's mad hot, and I wouldn't dare wear these without socks because since it's so hot my feet would easily sweat and sweaty feet and this material it has inside feels mad slippery and uncomfortable if you're sweating. But when I wear socks they're AMAZING, and I got stable footing again compared to when i was slippering in them sockless which honestly i think i almost injured myself because of the lack of stable footing. I always have people talking about them because they look like socks, and they say they look mad comfortable.. which by the way THEY ARE. I already had two of my home boys try them out cause they were mad curious, they loved them. So i bought them a pair each cause they're mad cheap and a extra pair for myself lol and now I see my homeboys wear them like crazy as well. I already do see the bottom starting to wear off from the use I put in for my first pair, but I'll be honest.. I really did put a beating on them like no joke... so In a sense I'm not surprised, but they're cheap so they're way worth it. I do have cats and a dog that shed like crazy, so when I first got these shoes they attracted ALL the hairs on the rubber parts, but as it gets used up they stopped sticking as much, and now they don't seem to stick at all except the top parts but easily can be taken off from the wooven parts. They do tend to smell after a while, but since I wear socks, I also wash them, and I take care of my feet and spray it against things like athletes foot, it's not a deal breaker for me because i dont allow it to get to bad smelling. I've also ran with these, felt good and i felt secure even with gravel, but mainly short runs. I've yet to try it for long distance running so I wouldn't know how they would hold up for something like that. I haven't even used my Vivobarefoot shoes since I got these. To me.. that's saying a lot because that's all I used to wear for years.

Exceptional Shoes
Extraordinary yoga shoes. โข high quality and well made. โข so comfortable - like being a kid and waking barefoot but with protection on the bottom โข excellent winter shoes for barefoot runners โขperfect for yoga โข wear year round! I wear these even in winter and in the rain. โข ZERO DROP SHOES - read up on barefoot walking and running. Especially if you have foot or ankle problems/injuries, barefoot walking can heal them. We use different muscle groups when we run barefoot vs in tennis shoes. With conventional shoes we heel strike with each stride, barefoot running we're on the balls of our feet the way nature intended and we've evolved for millions of years. Research "barefoot running." You must ease into it and the best way to start is by walking in these yoga shoes then slowly begin adding distance running in them. If you blister you're transitioning too fast. Healthiest thing you'll ever do for your feet. โข FELT TOUCH - You can still get a bit of natural feel through these like, while protected, you can feel if you're walking on gravel. Our feet are sensory feedback machines. We're meant to walk barefoot because our feet are designed to give our bodies information about our environment. What are ground conditions? dry? slippery? gravel? It instinctively tells you're body how fast or slow you should be walking and prevents injuries. โขGrounding and getting those healthy negative electrons from the earth only happens when we're barefoot with no rubber blocking our contact with the ground - unfortunately these shoes block that but they're easy to take off if you want to earth for a bit. โขWashable: You can throw them in the washer and they hold up. Tip: if you have stinky feet put some Oxy powder with hot water in each bootie, shake and let sit for an hour or overnight before washing.

Comfortable but bad durability.
These are comfortable to wear and relatively easy to put on and take off. The problem is the durability of the bottom sole of the shoe. Within one day of wearing them, the black rubber-like material of the sole started shedding and peeling all over my house, which has hard flooring.

Perfect for my walking pad 15,000 steps!
These are excellent and exactly what I was looking for. They have outstanding grip, are QUIET (they donโt sound like flip flopping water shoes), and they provide *just* enough cushion to protect your feet from rough/sharp textures. I primarily wear them on my textured walking pad because Iโm trying to get 10,000-15,000 steps per day, but I didnโt want to wear my athletic sneakers indoors all day every day. Iโve also walked the dog in these and theyโre excellent for uneven terrain like dirt roads and grass, etc (pavement gets hard on my feet after a while so Iโll just wear the sneakers for that). I highly recommend these for around the house/treadmill/yard work or even light outdoor walks. I did NOT enjoy running in these, but YMMV

Way better than expected...
The fabric used for the sock feels like if a thin sweater and yoga pants had a love child and the external soul is dipped in a silicone like rubber that sticks to everything without being squeaky.... these are like the ultimate Ninja footware. These are such a bargain, way sturdier than a just a sock.... these are legit footware but so flexible and comfortable. I wear these like shoes, I drive in them, walk around the mall, while working on clients.... I'm a massage therapist student and these are perfect for all day comfort, traction, and completely quiet on any surface - including yoga waxed bamboo floors... they're not squeaky at all!! Anyway, after getting my first pair and wearing them, I immediately bought 2 more pairs, one for leaving in my gear bag, the other is the high top version.... because the style looks awesome and I just really wanted them. Buy these without any concern, the sizes run exactly as listed... my foot is exactly 10" heel-to-toe, and the size M9 is listed at 10.1"... and it fits perfectly!!! They feel like you've taken a lovely trip to the Amazon rainforest and dipped your feet in a cushy Vibranium silent based silicone rubber, that totally grounds you and hugs your feet...I love these things as much as my sneakers.... really really... the perfect yoga/ninja footware...

On my second pair - comfortable and durable
But this, because of a review I read, and they were absolutely right. These are fantastic shoe socks. I wear them all the time, especially when I go camping. I used to bring other shoes when I went camping. Now I only bring these.

Durable and great on all terrain
These shoes are very grippy, so be careful while getting used to them. They have been been great on all surfaces (except for the rim of a hot firepit!). Worn at the beach, on volcanic rock, on pavement, on grass, and even in the ocean! They're great for sports, too. I love running in them. It is a good idea to wear socks with them, otherwise your feet may get sweaty. Good cushioning in them, even compared to any running shoe I've worn.

Comfy for portage
I changed into this pair of water shoes after getting mosquito bites through the holes from another pair of water shoes. I was worried how it feels walking on rock surfaces. No issues at all.

Minimalist Barefoot Water Shoes
These fit and look perfect. The sole has a durable rubber that is flexible and meets my canoeing, whitewater kayaking and paddle boarding needs. They do let a bit of sand in when walking in the water along a sandy shoreline, but it is a minimal amount.
