Beautiful Neti Pot w/closed handle for cleanliness!
After first purchasing a neti pot and discovering that the handle was hollow/open to the pot (impossible to clean), I discovered this ceramic neti pot that has a clean, even glaze (unleaded) AND a closed handle. It holds a full cup of salt water and works beautifully! Has help with stuffy nose and throat clearing/mucus. Thank you Into the Scented Garden! To Amazon's credit, even though the first neti pot couldn't be returned, they did credit me its' cost.

First non-plastic nasal rinse
I have year-round seasonal allergies and sometimes it turns into sinusitis. The price of this actually saves me money compared to buying a saline rinse kit every 3 months. The pot is smooth, excellent quality, and is cute to boot. Itโs easy to clean and holds 8oz exactly. I donโt put mine into the microwave as other reviewers have had theirs crack, so I use antibacterial dish soap and let it air dry. Iโm used to using the squeeze bottle type of rinser, so a gravity method was a little strange to me; I didnโt have as much come out as I expected, but I definitely felt cleaned out and moisturized. It does fit comfortably against the nostril and is easy to use. I recommend and would definitely buy again.

It turns out not all neti pots are the same
I've been doing nasal irrigations for many years. I started with the various powered pump products (think Waterpik but for the nose) and eventually settled on a ceramic neti pot. When I broke that, I used a plastic one for a while, but I'm trying to reduce my plastic usage, so I decided to try a ceramic one again. I picked this one because it has a solid handle, and I didn't want to try cleaning a hollow handle. I've been surprised by how much I like this neti pot. The handle is truly solid (there isn't even an indentation in either place where it joins the body). The finish is very smooth and actually repels water, causing it to dry very quickly (which prevents mold). The spout is a nice size and is well-finished, so it fits easily in the nostrils without irritating the skin. Most of all, though, the shape of it causes the water to flow extremely well, without me having to angle my head in all kinds of strange ways. With my previous neti pots, I always had to lean my head far to the side (practically into the sink), which caused a recurring problem with pressure and sharp pains in my left ear. With this one, I just tilt my head slightly, and the water flows right through, exactly the way it should. I highly recommend this neti pot to anyone who does nasal irrigations. Note to the seller: The only thing I didn't like about this order was the single-use plastic in the packaging. The neti pot came in a nice cardboard box that didn't need anything around it, but instead it was wrapped in single-use plastic wrap. Inside the box, the neti pot was cushioned with a piece of plastic-containing foam. You could easily replace that with a paper-based cushioning wrap and lose the plastic outer wrap. Those would be easy changes that would make this product be plastic-free -- helping the environment and appealing to the increasing number of people who are reducing their plastic usage. Please consider making those changes. Thank you!

Best Neti Pot out there so far... nOw just waiting 4 a glass version!
As a long time user of neti's... I really do prefer this 1 over my old ones which were essentially the same design but without the handle. At under $14, the price is right too! My old one broke when it slipped out of my hand but since THIS one has a handle, no chance of that since I can loop my fingers in. I love that I can put i in the dishwasher. I'm not crazy about ceramic as once it gets chipped it should b discarded since lead will leech out! (The fate of my very 1st Neti Pot). The only way this could b better is if it were glass so no fear of the hazards of lead/glazing when chipped.I am still on the lookout 4 glass! I was going 2 get a metal one but that would b too hot 2 handle. Glass cools much faster. Neti pot makers... PLEASE MAKE GLASS ONES! As a side note - I use it faithfully 2x a day (got it down 2 a science where it takes less than a minute total!) and I no loner struggle with severe allergy symptoms since I have adapted this routine. C A U T I O N --- IF u r NEW 2 doing this, u MUST use either distilled water or boil water. No joke, people have died from that brain eating bacteria that can b easily introduced 2 your brain if u do not take care 2 follow this (I am sorry I can't remember what it is called!) I wish all neti's came with this warning. What I do is boil water and then I store it in glass jar. When I need 2 use it, I heat 2/3C of this previously boiled water in my micro @ 30 seconds, add about 1/8teaspoon of salt, let sit a few minutes & in 30 seconds more, I neti & then I am done. I truly hope tthis helps u with neti pots in general & especially this 1. I defiintely think it's a good buy.

Great product, annoying design
This is a lovely piece of ceramic, and perfectly adequate as a neti pot. But it has design flaws, like many other neti pots, that make it rather annoying to use. The angle of the spout is shallow, and set at a mid-level on the bowl, which encourages fluid to spill out at small movements. A more steeply angled spout, set lower down, would help this. (yes, I do hold my finger over the spout.) Then, there is no lid. If I pre-boil my water and store it, then microwave my water in the neti pot with the salt, I have to put a spoon in to stir. A closely fitted lid would allow me to shake it, holding the lid securely, and minimize the number of things in contact with the solution. Amazon, take note, please. Japan has one-cup teapots in common use; one can find them for a couple of dollars in a grocery store. I really regret losing mine in a move; otherwise, I would be using it instead of a neti pot.

BEST EVER neti pot!!
After many years of searching, I have finally found my One True Neti Pot!! A couple of things make this The One: 1. There is NO hole/opening from the pot into the handle, so there's no possibility of water getting stuck in there and growing mold, bacteria, etc. 2. The spout/opening is perfectly sized; it sits nicely against my nostril and forms a tight seal, rather than being too narrow and going way up inside my nose like other brands whose names we shall not mention. (Note: I daresay I have pretty normal-sized nostrils.) I also like that it's ceramic and not plastic, since I guess plastic is evil nowadays? The only way it could be improved is if it came in colors other than this weird greenish-yellow off-white - but still an easy 5 stars from me.

One of the best we've found
I have to say, this is a great one! My wife and I liked it so much we bought 2 more to stash away. Seems when you find something you like, by the time you need to replace it, you cant find one again. That's how much we liked it, so we're covered now - ha! The inner diameter of the hole in the spout end is 5.51mm or 0.217" so you get a nice water flow, not a weak trickle. I'll see if I can add a photo later to demonstrate how the natural shape of the pot creates enough pressure to pour at an angle even - impressive. The spout tip is very nicely shaped, has a gently sloped finger tipped shaped end not pointy like some I've seen in a lot of them. The spout should fit in the outside of your nostril area like a hip joint or shoulder ball joint lays in the intended socket, not rammed inside your nose. Unless that's your personal preference I suppose. I noticed one person in the reviews said it was too big and didn't fit 'inside'? Ouch! The skin of your nostrils make for a good seal to this shape so it won't leak or dribble. It holds easily a cup of water mix, more than enough. When tilted the angle and design forces the water out 'very' nicely. You don't need to tilt your head sideways with this one, just a slight angle. The advantage to this one for me was it didn't sting or was anywhere near as uncomfortable. I was one of those people who felt like they were drowning in a swimming pool and my wife thought it was funny, but not with this one! I realize now the warm salt solution was going to far back into my nasal cavity and that's why it either stung or hurt - it was going too far back almost to my throat. The warm water should rise in your nose then flow up & over out the other side and it doesn't take much. The handle's solid, so no cleaning there to do. It's great for the fingers so you don't drop it. The color's very nice like a very pale green creamy tone - very tasteful. I just can't say enough good things, so I thought I'd share. We were so tired of trying to find a good one to replace ours, and here it is. At $14 it's a steal compared to more expensive ones. Nice job guys & gals!!!
