I spent some time looking for the replacement for my Vax bagless vacuum that got broken after just over a year ,not even being used too much.This one is really powerful even when the suction power adjustment knob is on the minimum so I keep it on this level all the time and the noise level is quite low. I like the fact that it is easy to adjust the suction power ,that it has got all accessories I need and it is easy to use. I am really happy with this vacuum and would not go back to the Vax in the future.

Absolutely brilliant little vacuum, the suction is amazing, there is a dial to turn it down, which I had to do.The vacuum itself is light to carry and it even looks good.There are attachments that come with it for most jobs around the house.Definitely worth the money.

My old Bosch died of old age so I thought I would be ecologically conscious and get a bagless vacuum cleaner with (hopefully) good energy rating. I've had this Beko for a month now, so here are the pros and cons. Have in mind that you can't expect a £70 machine to behave like a £200 one. It has it's little quirks, but you soon learn to deal with them and carry on. I wouldn't go back to a "normal" vacuum cleaner anymore.Pros -First of all it has an amazing suction! I keep mine on low most times and then have to open the lever to let air into the tube on occasion otherwise foot mats, etc. are impossible to vacuum well. Keep in mind that the quicker the vacuum container fills up, the less suction you'll have. That translates into several trips to empty it if you have a long session hoovering the house, or, for eg, have pets shedding hair, like our rabbit. On the other hand, never having to buy bags again is better for the wallet and the environment. The vacuum container is slightly browny, which is good because the dust inside would make it go that shade anyway. It's a doddle to unclick and then to actually empty it . It's lightweight and easy to carry around. Fits well on stair treads. Very manoeuvrable: those large wheels are amazing. The large hose feels well made. The cord is 10 mt, 2 mt less than I was used to but doable. Sturdy cord, doesn't knot up like thinner ones. You need that because once it starts rewinding there's quite a bit of pressure on it. As stated before - watch your feet when rewinding the cord !The thingy you push around on the floor is slimmer than older models which means it's nifty in tight spaces and it flattens more so you can go under sofas better. Not as loud as my older hoover. The metal tube extends with ease.Cons -Only a moron designs a vacuum cleaner that takes up so much space to store - horizontally - in today's cramped living places. Who actually clicks the hose to the rear end, to stand up vertically? The flexible hose comes out horizontally near floor level, takes up space too. It's best stored standing up, so the metal tube has to be taken off and set aside. Having said that, it stands very well as the cable winds in flush. The tube itself - feels a bit flimsy, extends easily thanks to a nifty sliding mechanism in front. Nice height - I can get rid of cobwebs on the ceiling and light fixtures easily. However, taking the floor thingy off is initially quite hard, no simple twist, just try and wrench it off. Within a few days however this got a lot better. Same thing at the beginning of the tube if you want to attach a smaller tool for instance. For this, best to switch of the machine as it's powerful suction will work against you!The attachments - oh dear. For me, completely useless. It's a 3 in 1 thing where you can't actually use any one separately, and "sliding" them into each other is a nightmare. I gave up and am now using a standard set of attachments I already had which fit in nicely. The only snag is that there is no - where to put them whilst vacuuming, so I've made myself a sort of tool belt to wear around the house. Naf, but better than having to hunt for them. The attachment holder thingy on the tube is useless. The tools kept falling off because the suction is so hard that sometimes you have to jank the tube and vacuum like sweeping the floor. The Beko comes with an extra hard floor attachment, quite large and utilitarian. Works very well on the kitchen floor etc, but quite frankly, can't be stored anywhere so I've given up using it.Emptying the dust box - as stated before, easy to unclick etc. As it's smaller than a paper dust bag, this will have to be done more frequently. But there's a certain degree of satisfaction in disposing the contents but be warned, there's often a cloud of dust depending on where you've been dusting. In my case, after minor building works, best go outside! Ditto cleaning out the filters which I do fairly regularly or the suction strength decreases dramatically. Vigorous patting of the black sponge filter and the Hepa filter releases a lot of dust. Rinsing out with water is recommended but it must dry before it can be used again so obviously not an instant thing. I do this in the evenings and put it int the airing cupboard. So I don't do this that often. Also I've bought a replacement sponge filter so there's always a stand by. Rather, I should say I tried to, from Beko itself, but as it isn't listed anywhere in their website, was told by phone that the part has to be ordered separately as it come from Poland and will cost £5+. And take 3 weeks. So I've made my own from a baby's cellulose sponge cut to size. 11x13cmx1 cm thick. The Beko comes with a replacement Hepa filter, so no problems there. Washing the whole dust box is a serious pain - so many nooks and crannies where dust settles, and fiddly to dry. But as it's brown - ish, there is no need to do it regularly. After all, this is no art work...In conclusion - Yes this Beko vacuum cleaner has issues, but it's a great little machine with incredible suction power, fabulous if you have a bit of patience, and great for the price bracket. No vacuum cleaner is 100% perfect unless you are willing to pay through the nose. I hope my review was helpful. (Smiley face here but I don't know how to do one).

Easy to use. Lightweight. Long power cord. Good suction. Comes with extra brush for hard floors.All in all very pleased with the purchase.UPDATE 29/09/2020: I'd think twice now before buying it as the basic maintenance will cost you the same as the new hoover. Went online to check how much would the filters cost, and was very surprised that pre-motor sponge is a 5 pounds, pre-motor HEPA is 20 pounds and exhaust HEPA is 25 pounds. + delivery. price on top of that and we have a shiny brand new hoover. Isn't that mad?!

I bought this as I have developed asthma due to house dust/mites, and I can't afford something very expensive. The cleaner itself looks neat, and has strong suction, and good filters and does the job, but the cleaner is much heavier than I imagined.The whole let down for me though by very plastic uncomfortable handle. I don't find the pole easy to maneuver. Plus the accessories feel unnecessarily cheap and plastic. In my case the plastic combined upholstery tool, dust brush and crevice tool wasn't working correctly from the start. The button on the body won't seat into the slot to hold the dust brush in place. I contacted Beko directly, as there was no point in returning the complete package when all I needed was a replacement accessory tool. At first they said to contact the retailer, Amazon. However, after 2 phone calls, and many minutes of hanging on, Beko then said they didn't send out replacement parts on small appliances. They offered to give me an exchange number to return the vacuum. This is time wasting for all concerned when the solution is obvious! I just need a replacement accessory tool. I won't be buying anything from Beko again, and next time will buy from a physical shop and not online. Lesson learned.
