It's designed to attach to lugs with even very small holes in a way so the metal doesn't touch the camera as you carry it; instead the flat leather ends lay against the camera side for protection from scratches. This strap is also very sturdy, has some give to it for comfort, and is soft enough not to cut into your neck when wearing it that way. And it does all this while also not detracting from the beautiful camera.
