I got it for my Kia Telluride and have used it for probably 3000 miles already. It carries a LOT of stuff and the included bag does seem to truly be waterproof and is HUGE. Filled this thing with 400lbs of luggage to move my daughter across 4 states. We hit a MAJOR pothole in the road that would have hit our heads on the ceiling of the car. The hitch wasn't affected at all. There was a fair bit of assembly, with decent instructions. The removal is NOT convenient as you have to loosen a bolt in order to remove the hitch.
