General Electric 35366 Handheld Cassette Voice Recorder by GE

Variable speed will only play tape faster, not slower. I needed one that could play slower, so I had to return it. Return process was simple though. Just wish more detail had been included because I wouldn't have purchased if I had known it would not play at a slower speed.

I bought another one after my old one crapped out. The other one lasted for maybe 10 years under heavy use. Finding these now is really hard to do. It is a shame when something is invented that works well, is later replaced that is supposed to be better. The way technology progresses you'll never be able to catch up. Digital has not yet equaled the warm sound of Analog. On Analog, people's voices are true not so with Digital where voices are reproduced and sometimes sound robotic.

The writing on the buttons is very small and also a little confusing as to what each button does.

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY NIECE TO USE TO DO A CLASS PROJECT. THE CASSETTE DID NOTHING BUT HOWL, SCREECH AND HUMMED WHEN PLAYED. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS VENDOR.

Bought this item for work to listen to tape transcripts. It does what we needed it for.
