because every time i need a serial cable i have to buy one. blah. Works fine. Used this to configure a switch through a raspberry pi.

Works as described
It works as described. This is a straight thru cable, i.e., contact 1 on one end goes to contact 1 on the other. The same is true for each contact. This cable is not usable as a communications cable that has 4 contacts crisscrossed.

Perfect straight through cable. All pins connected. Used for Ham Radio RS232
As described, a straight through serial cable. Works great for RS232 control of my ham radio rig. Running at 115.2k bps without issue.
