Oh well At least I didn’t have to get a new printer.
Well it’s pricey. And they put the chips in the cartridges. So you’re stuck. Amazon did proffer the cheapest option.

MAKE SURE IT'S ORIGINAL HP INK!
Works perfectly in my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 Printer. I tried off-brand but they do not work. Spend the additional $20 and get the original HP brand. It's worth it? I got the ink overnight, free delivery and it was sitting at my doorstep when I checked at 6:30 am. Great job Amazon!

HP printer only uses HP ink
The link is great, but we are handicapped by HP since that is the only ink that will work with our HP printer. The ink is fine but as I said, we are handicapped with our HP printer you cannot use any ink but HP ink Amazon did a great job delivering.

Excellent also saved a little money

Cartridges were part of HP's insta ink program. If you are not enrolled, cartridges will not work. Waste of money unless you are enrolled...decription did not state this. Buyer beware, I guess.
