supersize this!
I recently bought this projector. I have found it to be excelent peice of equipment, image clarity is awesome and this does not change even when you have it quite some distance from the screen. On the down side - and there must be at least one with every item, the in built speaker in the projector is not really up to much and is both very quiet and very tinny in quality. It would do the trick if all else fails but I would recommend not using the inbuilt speaker if it can be avoided. However combine a decent speaker set up with this projector and you have a recipe for success. the colour vibrancy and contrast are great, the user interface (accessable from the unit or through the included remote control)is intuative and simple. The keystone correction is again simple to use and intuatative. It is worth spending a few minutes reading the shut down procedure carefully as even after the display has vanished the power is not fully off as the built in fan cools everything down when you finish, so placement for the unit where you can see the led's on the top might be helpful if you intent to unplug the item after use.Another plus point is that this item also comes with both a Eruo mains lead and a UK mains lead, this might not sound to important, but its extrordinarily useful if you intend to use this item for presentations in various locations (after all the item is small enough to make this viable and does come complete with a transit case capable of carrying the projector and all its accessories)Once again I highly recommend this projector pound for pound (or euro as the case might be) you will struggle to find a better buy

Optoma Portable Projector
Optoma ES526 Mobile Projector.(2600 ANSI SVGA 4:3/16:9) Bought this projector for sales training PowerPoint presentations. I read the handbook plugged it into my laptop and was delighted with the results. Easy to use, comfortable to carry in its own case that also packs all of the items that you need to use it. Quick to set up and shut down, I am very pleased with it. If you want to use it for video its good enough, but I suppose the projectors that cost £2k + will give an improved definition and colour quality

Excellent value for money
I have wanted a projector for PowerPoint presentations in a classroom environment for several years but the prices were too high and the choices too bewildering. Finally listed what specifications I wanted, looked at on-line reviews and decided on the Optoma ES526.It arrived in short time and is excellent. Plenty of power for a room with a lot of ambient light, easy to set up, came with 2 leads, UK and European plugs, lead to computer and neat carry case.Very easy to set up. I recommend it wholeheartedly for home and small classroom use. Haven't tried it for films but didn't want it for that anyway - but photos are great, no complaints with resolution.

A Bright (and Light) Mobile Projector
I have used the Optoma projector several times with my Dell Studio XPS 16 laptop, and have been very pleased with the results. The projector is small and light, supplied with its own case (just large enough to get the necessary cables in), and projects a crisp bright image. My only criticisms would be that it insists on a square image, forcing my widescreen laptop into a smaller resolution, and that the remote control is of limited functionality; the latter problem was solved by purchasing a wireless presenter ( Kensington Si600 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer - Presentation remote control - radio ).

Optoma ES526 projector
It arrived with a continental 2-pin plug and a user manual on CD. Neither were helpful to start using it for a computer novice. After a lesson from a competent friend I found it easy to use and managed a successful presentation.

Spectacular colour
Really am enjoying using this, my first projector. Well worth the money and have used both for lessons and entertaining friends. An all rounder!
