The media could not be loaded.  Change my initial review. After about a week of use, the plastic snapped in half and a piece fell into the door frame, leaving me unable to shut my sliding glass door. I went2 nights with my door open, sleeping on the couch to watch for people trying to get in. Today a man came to the tune of 157.00 to totally remove the sliding glass door to retrieve the wedged piece of plastic. HORRIBLE experience!!!

My 3 year old is a bit of a houdini. We were hoping that this would help keep our sliding door a little more secure. We followed the directions and waited the suggested 48 hours. The first time my son tried to open the door the latch completely fell off the glass. It didn't seem like he even pulled the door very hard.

We bought these locks for our slider door because my 4yo escape artist child kept walking outside whenever he wanted. My husband applied it to the door as instructed, but the very first time someone tried to open the door with it in place (which was a few days after it was installed, not right away), it snapped right off. There was no yanking, tugging or extra force involved, just using a normal amount of force to try to open the door. The adhesive did not seem to bond with the glass as easily as the video implied.
