LG Destiny 4G Android Prepaid Phone (Tracfone)

Since I rely so much on product reviews when I buy something I want to comment on the LG Destiny phone. I have been a Tracfone customer for about 5 years. I started out with a low end phone that was used for phone and text. I then bought an LG 3G phone and was happy with that for a couple years. I guess as time goes on I enjoyed the apps and convenience of a smartphone. This phone is 4G and another step up in the progression of smartphones. The phone came in 2 days...I had done some reading beforehand about transferring the contacts and pictures to the new phone...so I got the app transfer wizard and onstalled it in my old phone..When the new phone came I got it up and running on wifi and installed the app transfer wizard on the new phone...It is the greatest thing since sliced bread! I went online and started porting my old number to my new phone. Tracfone is easy..this is the third time I have done this...and if anyone is looking for an inexpensive way to have a smartphone...without the high monthly bills..this is it..This new phone will be good for quite awhile. It is fast and easy to navigate..similar to my old LG...My husband got my old phone...He was on a low end Tracfone ..didn't text ..just used it for talk...It was seamless and easy to transfer from his phone to my old LG...He is happy and I am happy..Never know ..he may start to text

This is my first smart phone and I haven't used it very much yet. So currently I'm not able to give a very detailed review. I requested a new number when I received this phone and it's annoying how many soliciting phone calls I'm getting. Was that part of the deal, I didn't realize I signed up for? So I'm hoping eventually when I get comfortable enough to get rid of my dumb phone I will be able to transfer the number to this new phone.So far I like that I can read messages from people and access facebook while I'm not at home. It is going to take me a while to get use to talking on this flat thing. I don't carry a purse so this takes up quite a bit of room in my front pocket.Like someone else said I don't like that I can't see on my front page how many minutes I have left and when my time (contract) is up. I don't have to worry about that too much right now since they charged me 3 times when I signed up for 3 months of service. So I'm actually good for 9 months.

I just bought my second LG Destiny phone because my first one disappeared several weeks ago. I have had the first one for a little over a year and it has given me no problem. I still don't know how to operate everything in it. I used it mostly for phone calls and texting and never had a problem. Have had Tracfone phones for 4-5 years now . I believe the first one was recondition so it was activated in less than10 minutes. The new one took 55 minutes because it was brand new and Google had not been satisfied on it. By that I mean as soon as it was turned on I could not access the home page as the Tracfone technition was getting it activated. Google wanted your name and life history like your Google user name passwords., etc. It made me register when I knew I was registered and when I did it voided the registration as I was already registered. I would recommend that before you call Tracfone to activate you turn the phone on and get all that Google stuff done. I look forward to using this phone as a second phone to my lndline. I would recommend this phone to everyone. However as I wrte this I note the price has gone down more than $25.

I got this cuz it was a gold box special and bigger than the very basic phone I have but I have eye problems and with everything as big as it can be it is a strain to try to see what is on there and it lets you zoom it if you tap the screen a couple of times but then it is too large to see what is on the page. I wish they would come up with a phone for visually impaired or people who have a hard time seeing the tiny print. My computer screen I have everything on extra large and zoomed between 100 -200 percent on a 20 in screen...I don't know much about cell phones tho. I never really use them. I only got one in case of emergency like when the electric goes out and my landline doesn't work...I am not one of those people who carry the phone with them all the time and are constantly on it. I am rarely on mine. I use it for instagram sometimes to share pics and music maker jam and I'm the DJ apps the most.
